RUNNING AROUND TOWN IN COMFORT
What do you wear when you are going to be running around town? I am passed that stage where I have to run the kids to school or to a practice of some kind. Whew, I can remember having to take them to two different schools in the morning and in the afternoons they had two separate practices. Ashleigh is two years older than Joseph so there was a time where it took forever to get them to the school in the morning.
Ashleigh played on the girl’s team for sports and Joseph on the boy’s team. I can hear you saying, duh, but Ashleigh played football one year and she also played on the boys traveling team in basketball. For the most part, I would run to two different practices at night. When they had Volleyball and Football ballgames, Joe and I would have to split up and take turns going to each of their games. When they played basketball they usually played back to back and I kept score for both of their teams. I started keeping the score for their teams when they were small. I got to watch all the games and I learned to keep my mouth shut. Lol! Most of the mothers worked concessions and they would miss part of the game. PLUS, my daughter went through a stage where she didn’t want me to come and watch her games, but it was hard to tell me not to come when I was keeping the score! Haha
Today I did some running around town. Joe and I went to Bristol to have some truck parts worked on so I dressed for comfort. This red and white print long cardigan vest added just enough warmth. I took a coat with me but I never got it out of the truck. This vest came from Ross Department Store a couple of years ago. I went into the store and this was all I came out with. This is one of those items that people notice, so I don’t wear it often.
Here is an up close picture of my cross necklace. This is a FAVORITE of mine. I don’t remember where, or when, I bought this necklace but I have loved it from the start. It has bling and pearls, enough said. Lol! The bracelet on the left is called the Logan and I have on two Lindy initial bangles on the right.
The Londyn necklace and the Lissy earrings both match the Logan bracelet. I held off ordering this set for a really long time because I don’t wear a lot of silver jewelry. But I have seen several orders from you gurls for these items, so I finally decided to order them for myself. Wow, this is a really nice and sturdy set of jewelry. If you did not sign up for my Plunder and Rodan and Fields specials you are really missing out. Today is a really good deal. Let me know if you want to be added to the email list. If you already told me but did not receive an email yesterday, message me again. I had messages from the blog, Facebook, and by email, so it is possible I let one or two or ten slip through the cracks. Lol! To order from Plunder just click here.
A pair of blue jeans is essential for running errands. I bought a couple Vigoss jeans last year at Maurice’s and they are a nice weight jean. I prefer a skinny jean but I hate to only wear skinny jeans all the time. This is a boot cut pair and I wear jeans like this when I don’t want to tuck my jeans into my boots.
Today did not feel like a boot kind of day, I thought my gray with white polka dot Chuck Taylors were in order for the day. I do not wear tennis shoes unless I am exercising, so basically never, but Converse shoes are a fashion statement. I have a “knock off” pair in red that I had monogrammed, they are super cute too.
I grabbed my red Dooney & Bourke purse to carry but got in such a hurry to leave that I didn’t have time to transfer my crap (prized possessions) so I ended up carrying this purse instead. My Dooney & Bourke is one that had been returned to the outlet store and it had some ink marks inside the lining so I got it really cheap. I am sure it has way more ink marks now but I don’t know because I don’t inspect my lining of my purses when I carry them. Lol!
Love this outfit! Please add me to your Plunder emails. Barbara Johnson
Looking so cute in the blue denim shirt, dark jeans and red sweater vest for running around town! The blue denim
shirt really makes your eyes pop blue. Would you please add me to your plunder emails also. Gracias!
Hi Tania. Love your outfit. Can you please add me to your plunder emails. Thanks
I would like to receive the Plunder specials email. Thanks, Lynn
That sounds exactly like when my 3 kids were little! I would take two of them to Baseball practice @ 4:30 (my lunch hour then). My husband would leave work at 3:30 & take one son to practice, then go back to work til 5:30 when he’d come back to watch the games. But I miss those days! Those converse are adorable! I’ve got a few ugly sweaters, altho I gave away my worst ones last night to the “Roswell Refuge for Battered Women” when our church youth came collecting.
Can you please add me to your Plunder and Rodan and Fields specials email list.
Love the cardigan! So cute!
You kept the book for basketball? I worked in Sports Information in college and kept the book. Then, when my son was in jr high, I did it again for his basketball team. Funny and weird that we would have that in common. LOL
I’m on day NINE of Christmas/Holiday shirts & sweaters. Some are uglier than others. I have taken a selfie everyday. I will have to choose the best (?? worst??) to share on the 16th. I will be DONE with my daughter’s challenge on the 15th! Today I am wearing a Santa sweater…and by that I mean, it looks like Santa’s suit. The kids have been calling me Mrs. Claus all morning! LOL
I didnt get an email about the Plunder specials. Please sign me up! Thank you!
How can you wear the Chucks ? They have NO arch support whatsoever. I keep trying them on, hoping I’ll find a pair that I can wear comfortably, but it never happens. My knees and feet would be killing me in about 10 minutes…LOL!
Amy, I have a pair from Ralph Lauren that are that same style, but have more support inside. I got them at Belk many moons ago, but maybe you could google them.
The look is fresh and festive and looks comfortable!
LOVE this outfit! Love the red vest with the denim shirt! Always like seeing ideas of what to do with denim shirts! Great outfit! Cute and comfy at the same time!
I just discovered Maurices about a year ago—I always thought it was a young girl’s store and so had never gone in! But luckily I decided to check it out and I was pleasantly surprised—I love your jeans from there!! I’ve gotten quite a few item from that store too!!

Love your blog!
Perfect for errands. I love all your jewelry. I have got to check out that set. Enjoy what ever you are doing today!
Super cute outfit! I’m stuck in a rut with my tunics and leggings….time to diversify!!!!
I really like this outfit. Comfortable, stylish, youthful. I struggle with what to wear ‘running around’ — which is my life now since I’ve retired and I’m taking care of my 3-year old granddaughter. My instinct is to go for a pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt every day!! Thanks for sharing a comfy option. I’m gonna try to recreate using a long blue crocheted vest that I have.
Love the jeans, and the red makes the look pop. you look bright and happy.
I LOVE this outfit. A gurl cannot go wrong with a bootcut jean and a good pair of chucks!
What a fabulous jeans! You are looking very good and relaxed!
OMG I am loving your running around town in comfort outfit…but awfully jealous as it must be so much warmer where you are!
Here is a post showing what I wear running around town 😉 http://bit.ly/2h5Nop1

Great outfit! It’s nice to see the bootcut, like you I normally wear skinny jeans but you’ve got me thinking now ? That Logan bracelet is lovely. If they shipped to the UK I would pretty soon be penniless!
Love the necklace, Tania. Do you know if they ship to Canada. Seems to me when I tried previously it said it was not a valid address or something to that effect.
