50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAINI am so, so, so, so, so, so tired of talking about rain. It seems like it has rained this ENTIRE spring. I hurt when it rains, I am depressed when it rains, and I am just plain grouchy when it rains. I guess that means Joe hates rain too. Lol! Well, today after another torrential downpour we got to talking about rain and men. Are you wondering where I am going with this? A girl I work with mentioned that it was raining last night (of course it was) and that when she got out of the car she ran to the porch. Her husband was slowly walking and she yelled at him to hurry up he was getting wet. He replied, “men don’t run in the rain.”50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAINShe thought that was the craziest thing she had ever heard so she started asking all the men that came into the store if they ran in the rain. Overwhelmingly the answer was, NO! Men don’t run in the rain. Then a couple of the men explained that you get “wetter” if you run that if you walk. That just doesn’t seem right. According to them, they said it was on Myth Busters (so it must be true) that if you run in the rain you get wetter. They walked to a point in a controlled rain and then they ran to the same point. They took off their clothing and weighed it to see which one contained the most water. I guess you now know the answer. From now on I am just going to slowly stroll in the rain, but I will be carrying on of these. This is a new design that I saw last year. Make sure you look at the last picture to see how easy it is to get in the car with this!!!
50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAINBefore you say anything, I hate the purse with this outfit. In fact, when I got done taking the pictures, I looked in the camera to make sure they were in focus and saw how bad the purse looked. I went and changed to the one in this post but I didn’t have time to take more pictures. You have to realize that I make mistakes too. Sometimes I catch the problem before I leave the house and sometimes I don’t. I wore this same top last year with white and it really popped. You need to experiment with different colors and see what looks best on you. I am going to try to link as many of the clothing items as I can to Nordstrom today because they are having their annual Half Yearly Sale. Up to 40% savings!!!

50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAIN I don’t think that I have worn this Plunder set before. I got it in last week and it is another one that I didn’t think I would like. I think it is just that I am so happy for summer to get here that I am loving everything bright and colorful. I am ready for the darks of fall and winter to be behind me. These earrings are called Mandy and you can see that they match the design in the necklace. I have two new bangles on that have an inscription on them. The silver one is called the Randi and it says, “Let It Be,” and the gold one is the Raleigh which says, “Dream Without Fear!” The green bling bracelet was a special at Christmas. 50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAIN This necklace is called the Mitali and this will go with almost anything. This is adjustable from 16″ to 19″ so it is a shorter necklace. The bright green/yellow bracelet is an elastic bracelet called the George Anne. It is time for a new party, now we are up to tania10.
50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAIN Bright green in not a normal color for pants for me. Green has never been a favorite color of mine but I have been buying more of it lately. I came across this pair of crop pants at the overstock store in town. I think green was one of the “colors” for this year but I had a hard time finding this bright color in the stores.

50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAINI am just going to ignore the purse in this post because I didn’t end up carrying it after all. Instead, I am going straight to my platform espadrilles. Shoes are my downfall in fashion. I am not a big shoe person and when I get ready it is always the shoes that are the missing link in my overall look. They take up too much room, I would need 4 or 5 in the same color to be able to wear what I want. You need sandals, flats, dressy, wedge, boots, etc. Way too much for my little mind to comprehend. Ugh!!! If I didn’t find shoes at the overstock store I don’t know what I would do. However, I haven’t found any up there in months! I need more shoes!!!

50 IS NOT OLD | RUNNING IN THE RAINI am heading out of town for the weekend for Memorial Day. I get to see my grandson’s play baseball (weather permitting) and I get to watch Matti B at a ballet recital. Oh yeah, I get to see Mom and Dad also. Lol! The pooches are going to be staying home with a lady who housesits for us. They probably like her better than me anyway. She never comes without a pocket full of treats.

  1. Great colorful outfit. Love the jewelry, it matches very well. Have a great weekend and thanks for the tip on the Monstleo, looks like a purchase.. 😉

  2. Love the bright green and navy together. Please send rain to Arizona! It was 107° a few days ago!

I would like to try some of the RF products, but the site was down. I mentioned that in my reply on the 23rd. I would like to use some of the products, but not sell them.

I love those sunny earrings! They just yell “Spring” Your top is beautiful but I am not a fan of the green pants. Like you, I am not a fan of green and have very little. I hope some sunshine comes your way soon. Have a fabulous trip!

  4. I didn’t see the umbrella. Is it the better brella that opens the other way? If so they have it at Bed Bath and Beyond (I’m in Canada) and at the real Canadian superstore.

As for the rain, at least you don’t have to shovel it!

  5. Beautiful blue top, Tania. Please send the rain to San Antonio…we need it!

  6. Love your greens and blues! That is so funny about the Myth Busters experiment! The things they come up with. Love that umbrella! What a great idea! I wonder if it holds up well. Have a great Memorial Day weekend. – Amy

I am a fan of the blue and green combo & dont wear it much, but looking at you in this outfit I am going to have to start again, it just pops! 🙂 We have been going thru the same weather here in Kelowna BC…usually its hot and dry in the spring but not this year! We have had creeks flooding because the snowpack on the mountains hasnt melted the usual way due to it being so cool and it keeps snowing up there when its been raining down here! Now our lake is at record flood level and homes are being flooded out! I love that umbrella as well..I might have to get one if it doesnt stop raining here!

    1. I ordered the umbrella yesterday. I can’t wait to get it and I will put it on the blog for everyone to see.

  9. When you have days of rainy weather that’s when Happiness ends and you have to choose to have joy instead. Joy is independent of circumstances. It dwells in the heart-as a never ending fountain. Happiness laughs when the sun shines, but grows sad when clouds gather. Joy sings in all weathers and in all experiences. Always seek to choose joy!
