SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH ROSE COLORED GLASSES
Joe has always accused me of seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. I have a sunny outlook, at least most of the time. And he thinks that I live in a tra-la-la kind of world. According to Joe, I only see the good around me, and I ignore all of the bad stuff. I don’t know about you, but I kind of like living in a world like that.
Looking through Rose Colored glasses
If rose-colored glasses actually made the world good, instead of just appearing good, then we would all want to wear them daily. I actually don’t mind seeing the good in everything, and I would rather look for the good than for the bad. Sure there are times when I get disappointed, but I would rather get disappointed when it happens instead of getting disappointed at the possibility. Are you a rose-colored glasses, glass half full kind of gurl too?
I felt like wearing something cozy, relaxed, and warm today. Joe and I decided to go for a drive because we are getting stir crazy. It will be about a 1 1/2 hour drive to get there, and I wanted to wear something that looked nice but was comfy to travel in. This bright red sweater is one that I’ve had for a while, and I think that it looks great with a pair of jeans.
This sweater was from Target, but it has already sold out on their website. If you like wearing turtlenecks, then check out this post where I show you 3 ways to style a turtleneck. Turtleneck sweaters are plentiful, so I found some that I thought that you would like.
If you want to look at the world through a pair of rose-colored glasses, then these sweetheart glasses are perfect for you also. These glasses are so cute, and I think that they will be perfect for Valentine’s Day. But, they would be super cute to wear all summer long when you want to add some fun to your day. These are by QUAY Australia, (pronounced “kee.”)
I decided to wear my AG Legging Ankle Skinny Jeans for this look. Every time that I wear these jeans, I love them even more. We all know how hard it is to find a pair of jeans that fits, and these are my soul-mate when it comes to jeans. I now own three pairs by this brand, and I love every one of them.
These jeans seem to run small, so I do size up when I purchase them. I am wearing a size 31 instead of my usual size 30, and I think the fit is great. The price, however, is not as great. I bought mine when they were on sale, and I check the sales for this brand every time I hop online.
I will link to some of my other favorites for skinny jeans that might be a little more pocketbook-friendly.
Speaking of favorites, I am wearing my favorite chunky heel ankle boots today. These boots have a 3 1/2″ heel, but they are easy to walk in since the heel is so thick and stable. I love these boots’ neutral color and how they make my legs look like they go on for days. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these booties, so they run true to size.
My jewelry is something that I’ve worn several times before. But, in case you missed it, I’ll give you the links to all of it. I am wearing the Sophee heart hoop earrings and the Jack multi-chain necklace. The necklace is turned around backward so that you see the gold back instead of the multi-crystal front.

To God Goes The Glory!
Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
You are inspiring me to be a more positive person. Thank you.
Those are the absolute cutest sunglasses! And they would be awesome for Valentine’s Day! And of course you look really good in red. Enjoy that nice drive with your husband!
You look amazing as usual but you mentions few weeks ago your husband had something about your weight. Now you look slimmer than ever. Please share your secrets.
I try to be a half full gurl but not always easy.
Love your outfit, looks so cosy.
Hope you are having a good weekend.
You are right, Fiona, it isn’t always easy.
We need more people like you….ones that see the good in people! That’s very positive. I’m trying to be more like that, I find it makes a person less judgemental.
Lorie, I am sure that you are a very positive person also.
I think you look great!
Thanks!
I see the world through rose colored glasses as well. Some may say its an out for reality. I disagree. I choose to see the good in all people and situations. Is everything perfect? Of course not. Negative people bring me down and I bow out of joining up with them. You are a great example of someone who beams “sunshine”.
I choose to see the good also! There is always a silver lining, it is just behind some storm clouds.
You look great in red! I like the jeans too. Never tried that brand but may have too. I like Kut From Kloth jeans. And I’m a “glass half full” gal too. ☺️
I know that you are a half-full kind of gal!!!
Have fun on your outing with Joe! Great outfit and the glasses are so cute on you!
The outing started as fun, but a headache soon put a damper on our adventure.
That red is popping! Looking good lady:) I love being a positive person I won’t tell you how many times I have brought a person out of frustration or negativity, with my positivity, sometimes it has been complete strangers. Have a fantastic weekend:)
would rather be a positive person also, Anne!
I’m a definitely glass half full kind of girl. I’d rather see the good than the bad.
Love your outfit today. I’d definitely wear it.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I would rather be disappointed as to constantly expect the worst to happen.
I think you look great. When are you going to give us your slimming down secrets.
Lol! Robin, I am still struggling with the plan. I’ll let you know if it is doable and works. I can see my face looking thinner, but I am not noticing a weight loss anywhere else.
I’m definitely a glass half full person!! Wouldn’t have it any other way!!! Love your comfy, stylish outfit today and love your new LV handbag!!! Good for you on earning it!!!
Thanks, Chris! I love that handbag also.
I really loved this post! The outfit is so cute and the info is so on point. I need to get some of these boots!! Love!!
I adore this outfit! That bright red sweater pops against the jeans —it is fabulous.
I try to be an optimistic person, but I think I fall more in the “practical” camp most of the time — somewhere between optimist and pessimist.
Hope you enjoyed your day trip.
