SMALL WARDROBE CHALLENGE DAY 3
It is crisp and cool outside, that must mean it is football weather. I can remember going to watch my son Matthan play football his junior year and it was below freezing almost every game. It was snowing big dabs of snow, but we sat right there and watched the game. After the season was over, I went and bought me one of those snowsuits that would keep me warm. You know how they say if you want it to rain you should go wash your car? Well, if you want a warm football season, buy a snowsuit. Hahahaha!?
This is day 3 of the small wardrobe style challenge. I bought this thick and fluffy scarf with football weather in mind. Matthan used to coach football at a school whose colors were gray and maroon, so I thought I would wear it to watch one of his games. However, he decided to have a career change so I have never worn this scarf. I know this is another subtle change, but the addition of the scarf is such a major feature, it takes your mind off the other supporting articles of clothing.
You have to admit, this scarf is really cute. However, it is really functional also, because it will keep your neck warm. If I were attending a ballgame, I would probably have a large coat on over my sweater, but I thought that might be a little overkill for the fall.
For my treat from Rodan and Fields, I will give a mini eye cream to anyone who becomes a PC before the end of the month. Beautiful scarf! Where was it purchased?
I just came across this post, and I have to say you are adorable! I love the outfit–it’s simple, practical, and ….. adorable! 🙂
Tania, I love this colorful scarf & it really ties your outfit together! And I also really appreciate the Rodan & Fields gifts! I loved trying them & thought the paste was excellent!
I love the scarf with this outfit, so classic. I’m pouting because I want to wear scarves, but it is still in the mid-eighties here! I am ready to be a Fall fashionista without melting!!
Love this look Tania — I received this month’s stitch fix and was sent some items that are almost comparable but different colors, you styled it girl!
What about the pants. Did you say where they are from? Love it all!
Tania, where did you get those pants at? Thank you!
Love the colors! Wish I could find me pants like you have! I just need to go do some shopping!
Tania, I am loving these posts, and I ADORE this outfit. The scarf is a wonderful addition.
I like this combo best of all and with boots, even better!~
I love this series! Even though my wardrobe isn’t small, I appreciate you showing styling options. Thanks for all you do for us.
Oh, Matthan is my first grandchilds name, also!! You don’t here that name much! Love it though!
Love reading your posts!
Have a great day!
Rhonda
Good morning , loving this weeks posts it’s challenging me to look at my clothes to get more out of a few staples thanks! Did you check to see if I can give you an order or even sell the jewlery from Canada? Carol
I didn’t think it did, Carol, but I asked in one of our groups just to make sure. If there is something you really want, I can have it shipped to me and then I can forward it on to you. It would just be a little extra shipping. Maybe they will be like Rodan and Fields and decide to expand into Canada. ?
I placed a Plunder order Tuesday, using the link you posted but when I checked out nowhere did it reference your name and it specifically said that I wasn’t ordering with a party. Have you seen my order? Did I do it correctly?
I also tried to place an order. I could not determine how to select your party!
Do you think the scarf’s weight should match the sweater’s weight? I have a lot of scarves and always wonder if I’m wearing them right. (Hope that makes sense.)
This is my favorite look of your week so far. I’ve never met a scarf I didn’t like?
Love the color of your scarf! I have many scarves and enjoy changing a look with them also!
This is my favorite look so far! You look great!
I think a great scarf is a perfect way to change up an outfit!! That’s why I always take a couple when traveling because that’s the epitome of small wardrobes!!

You are right, Jodie. Packing a scarf doesn’t take up much room and it will completely change the look of an outfit.
I’ve really enjoyed the other two days, but this outfit might just be my favorite, so far!! I really love the scarf and what it adds to the outfit – so much texture and great colors! Not to mention the added benefit of being functional and keeping you warm…. I love wearing scarves in the fall and winter, so this combination really speaks to me! I’m loving this challenge and look forward to how you will change it up tomorrow! Blessings…..
Tania, I love this small wardrobe challenge. We recently moved to a downtown apartment with almost no closet space. I downsized my wardrobe big time, and am working on switching all the pieces around like you’re showing. I love your blog! @austinoverfifty.com
Small changes can really make a difference. Accessories don’t take up that much room and they don’t cost much either.
Super cute post like always Tania.
Today I published a post inspired by your small wardrobe challenge and have linked back to you- smile – you might like to have a look as it’s about converting Spring dresses into Fall favourites:

I will have to check that out Yvonne??
Scarves just add personality to an outfit. You look very warm in this outfit. \ Ready for that outdoor event. Enjoy your day and thank you for thinking about my all black challenge week. You have just the way to make these looks attainable and can fit anybody’s budget.
Connie, the black challenge would be great for my sister. She wears black all the time. I may have to ask for her help in that. LOL!
I am changing sizes. There are clothes that fit again but I am not buying lots of new things in the “in between sizes”! These posts are great for helping me look at my small wardrobe differently.
Andra, that is exactly what I am talking about. Shopping your closet and then adding in new items occasionally is how you can keep your look from looking stale.
Another great styling option for your basics. Can’t wait to see what you be wearing tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s is probably the most different of all the looks:)
This is a Winner! Love the colors in the scarf and how they coordinate perfectly with the burgundy/wine pants and grey sweater. WOW!! Classy and chic look for fall/winter. Love it!!
Thanks, Mary. I love scarves, they change change a look so easily.
