STEPPING OUT ON THE TOWN
I have had a blast out in Las Vegas. To tell you he truth, I have never had the desire to visit Las Vegas, and if there hadn’t been a Rodan and Fields Convention, I probably would not have ever come. But, it has been fun and very tiring. The flapper look was for a Great Gatsby party that I attended on Friday night. Fizz’s Champagne bar at Caesar’s Palace was closed just for our private party. It was over the top, crazy, fun???
Our first night here, we went to a private party at Mandalay Bay. This was a party that was hosted by some of our upline’s in the company. We had about 30 ladies attend, and it was so interesting to hear all about their journey. Everyone has their own story to tell, and their own motivation for being involved with Rodan and Fields. I wore a dress that I have had for several years; you can’t really tell from the photo, but it is has cold shoulders. Because I am writing the post from an IPad, I am unable to add links to sites, but if you have something specific you are interested in, send me an email, and I will try to link you up on Tuesday, after I catch my breath. I can tell you that the Art Deco necklace is by Stella and Dot.
We stopped at a little outdoor cafe at the Venetian. Great food, but they no longer serve the hot potato salad that we went for. Lol! The Tuscan Tea, however made up for my disappointment. After our lunch, we went for a gondola ride, which was pretty cool.
This is the ceiling in the Bellagio, it is all made of glass and is very colorful.
This was the “talking” tree in the conservatory. There were some gorgeous floral arrangements and some beautiful displays.
These humongous pumpkins really caught my eye. The largest pumpkin weighed in at 941 pounds!!! That is just crazy!
Probably the coolest thing we did while we were here, was taking a 3 hour limo tour. We went to see the volcano eruption at the Mirage, and that was very sweet. You could feel the heat from the eruption on your face. Then we made our way over to see the fountain show at the Bellagio. Gorgeous❤️❤️❤️. We were dropped off at Freemont Street and this was where my mouth dropped open. It was totally wild and crazy. I expected scantily clad women, but not topless women. My, my, my!
This is what I wore on the limo ride. I have had this little Python print dress for years, but I have never had an occasion to wear it. The bright red Bakelite necklace popped off of the print.
No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without going to the famous sign. This was some of the women I stayed with in Las Vegas. From left to right is, me, Krissie, Karen, Leigh Ann, Ashley, and Caitlyn. There were two more, Beth and Caroline, that went to another function.
This whole trip was so much out of my comfort zone. Flying, staying on the 37th floor (I hate heights), rooming with 6 women I had never met before, and being 20 years older than all of them, we’re all challenges I had to face. You know what, I did it! I grew as a person, and I loved it?
My mantra has always been, Age is an Attitude, Keep Yours Young but for some reason I only wanted to apply that to my fashion, not my life. This weekend I applied it to my life. I am so glad that Joe encouraged me to go and gave me the push I needed.
If you have not already entered in my R&F multi function eye cream giveaway, go to my post on Thursday to enter.
If you thought that going to Las Vegas was great, just look at my next Rodan and Fields adventure – glamour day filled with pampering by a message therapist, makeup artist, hairstylist, and a professional photo shoot. This costs me NOTHING! I love being a part of this company, email me if you, or someone you know, are interested in finding out more about Rodan and Fields, or check out the products at tstephens5.myrandf.com

Fabulous update on your trip to vegas. I visited many many years ago during the energy crisis and none of the lights were on on the strip, but it was still an exciting trip just the same. You look beautiful in that black dress, in all outfits!! Glad you had a wonderful time!
Thanks for sharing your fabulous time in Vegas w/us “not-so-world-travelers” who are also afraid of flying, heights & staying w/people we don’t know! You go girl!
Love your black party dress outfit – Where did you get those fly shoes?
What fun! You were smokin’ HOT in the black dress! I can’t believe you would feel uncomfortable with younger women as you look so great! I would feel uncomfortable not knowing anybody and staying on the 37th floor…yikes! I too am scared of heights. Looks like you had an amazing time. I have never had a desire to go to Las Vegas, ever, but you may have changed my thinking on this. Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait for you to share the other experiences with us.
Love the little black dress and would like to hear the details of where to find it.
Sounds like a wonderful trip, except for 6 to a room??? How in the world did that work? I’m a retired teacher, and anytime our district had to pay for hotels, we had 4 to a room. I cannot imagine men ever being asked to do that! I’m pretty sure they would refuse!
Does R&F say anything about tiny broken capillaries on cheeks? I use the redefine but the redness of the capillaries is not improving.
It looked liked a fabulous time!!! You looked gorgeous!!! The outfits were stunning on you!
After pouring my morning coffee, your blog is always the first I visit and it never disappoints! You looked like you had the BEST time in Las Vegas and you looked fabulous in every outfit!
What an adventure! You saw a lot in your short stay. Too bad about the potato salad. Great outfits!
