50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40I had a crazy day yesterday that all started at 3:00 in the morning. Let me start out by telling you that I am not a morning person. Next, let me tell you that I have not drunk any coffee for well over a month. Yep, it was that kind of day! I had a plane to catch and it was scheduled to leave at 5:49 so that meant that I had to be at the airport at around 4:00. That all sounds great when you see that you get to your destination really early in the day and you will have lots of time to enjoy yourself. However, it didn’t look near as much fun when I was trying to pry my eyes open.50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40 This was one time that I was happy that I had my Bright Eye Complex with me because I sure put it through the paces. Lol! The first leg of the trip took me to Charlotte, NC where we had a 2-hour layover. The flight only took around 20 minutes to get to Charlotte which blew my mind! Both of the planes that we flew on were smaller so we had to board the plane from the tarmac and climb the stairs to board. I almost felt Presidential and I thought about turning around and waving to all of my adoring fans before I entered the plane. But, alas, none of them showed up at that time of the morning. That is my story and I am sticking to it. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40 Let me start out by saying that I LOVE this jumpsuit. Now, let me say that I am sending this jumpsuit back and that makes me very sad. When I first put this jumpsuit on I thought it looked fabulous. I love the print, I loved the fit and I really loved the crop style leg. Looking in the mirror in my bedroom before I took my pictures I was satisfied with the outfit and was already planning different places that I could wear this. I went outside and took my pictures and then loaded them onto my laptop. As soon as I saw the pictures I knew that I would be sending the jumpsuit back. I love the mustard color but this is more like a dark gold or a dull mustard. I am not sure which but the color just doesn’t look good against my skin tone. Man, I wish this came in a different color! BTW, I am wearing a size large and you can find the jumpsuit here.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40Isn’t the Tatiana necklace beautiful? Oh my goodness, I held off ordering this one thinking that I would like all the “bling” but instead I love it! The light pink stones are surrounded by lots of crystal that give off sparkle galore!!!. The matching Olga earrings are dainty but still quite a statement. I kept the jewelry to a minimum but the items I added have lots of interest. I saw a LOT of you have already taken advantage of the Plunder Mania savings that are being offered. Things are selling out quickly so be sure to check that out! Just remember to pick a party with my name in it first. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40I added a platform wedge shoe by Marc Fisher. I am in serious need of some new shoes since I have had this pair for at least a couple of years and I am sure that you are tired of seeing them. I need to start me a “shoe fund” jar. Here is the problem, I am not a “shoe” girl. I want to be but I just can’t make myself. Normally, if I am going to have a problem with an outfit it will be my shoes. I am one of those who used to only have 1 pair of brown, black and navy shoes and I would only buy another pair when that pair was worn out. So, I have improved some over the years. Lol! I truly need to get rid of over half of what I have that is taking up space and go and buy some more shoes.

50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A FLORAL JUMPSUIT | FASHION OVER 40I hope to take some pictures while I am in Florida but once you have a lot of women around it is hard to find the time. Plus, I feel bad about asking people to take my pictures for me. Lol! Love the colorful without looking like a tourist in Florida. All the outfits you wear look slimming. I wonder if that can be applied to all body types.

  2. As always, you are adorable…..but that said, my first thought was “Oh my, that is NOT her color! ” So, needless to say I was glad to read on that you agreed! Not too many people, in my opinion, can look good in mustard, or even some gold.

  3. Tania – that is a beautiful outfit, the jumpsuit looks great on you. It is modern and very pretty. I think the color looks wonderful, it reminds me of the color of the top in the 8/16 fall transition outfit. The clothing you have been posting recently has been extra attractive – keep hitting it out of the park!

  4. wow – I first looked at your photos and thought you looked sensational and then saw all the concerns about color and fit. I guess it’s there is a reason I’m not a stylist or fashion blogger. I think you look great.

  5. It looks very comfortable, but the color is a no go!! I am glad you are sending it back. My opinion is that it really doesn’t do you justice. Mustard/gold is a awful color on us blondies!!! You still look lovely though. Enjoy your time away!!

  6. That’s so funny because the first thing I thought before I read your post was how much I liked the jumpsuit because you look so beautiful in those colors. And I don’t mind how often you wear the wedge shoes because they’re cute and go with a lot of your outfits.

  7. You look so very beautiful!

I love that bold jumpsuit, but I am always worried about those mustard colors on me too! I hope you have a fantastic time! Are you there for R&F?

    I think you look adorable!

  10. You are right..the color just doesn’t do you justice…guess you’ll just have to put that $$ towards shoes ?

This is a tricky color to pull off. I have dark hair ,fair skin and I look so drab in all yellows and golds. Oh well you can’t win them all.

  12. I think this color looks fantastic on you! I have similar coloring and think I need this jumpsuit too!

  13. I laughed when you were talking about your shoes, I used to be the same way! A few years ago I finally started getting into shoes. I think my husband wishes I would go back to the way I used to be, lol! I have a giant wall of shoe shelving in the closet and it is full with overflow on the floor. Sometimes I still don’t have the right shoes for an outfit. I like this jumper but agree the color isn’t the best on you. Enjoy your trip!

  14. For some reason I do like the floral print and color but the top part just doesn’t look/fit right! How disappointing!

  15. As an item the jump suit looks great and the trousers look fabulous on you, but oh dear! The top makes you look enormous and that is not what you are. Such a shame the top let’s the suit down. Have a lovely break.
