50 Is Not Old | Sun and Fun Good morning Orlando!!! It is time for a little sun and fun. It is 80 degrees and sunny, I think I could get used to this. No wonder snowbirds all head south in the winter. I think I need to start working on my flying south wings.50 Is Not Old | Sun and Fun The grounds of this hotel are amazing. I am soooo white though, there is no way I would be caught dead in a pair of shorts. These capris are as short as I am going. Sandy looked at my ankles and started laughing. After about five minutes she could finally make some crack about Casper and ghosts. I got the drift. I should have brought my self-tanning lotion, but once again that would have been way too organized for me.50 Is Not Old | Sun and Fun This is looking off my balcony. When I took the picture, I thought they were too dark. However, I was able to lighten them enough for them to look decent. The cardigan is one that I bought last year from Talbot’s when we were in Orlando. It is very pale pink, and not a color I usually buy. But for some reason last year, I fell in love with the cardigan and matching pants. 50 Is Not Old | Sun and Fun The tank top is one that I bought in Atlanta at my sister’s at Target. I love this bright coral color, and had no idea it would match the cardigan. I would have never thought to wear pink and orange. You can look at cardigans, scarves, etc., and see colors that go together. I could wear this with yellow, orange, pink, black, and white. That gives me a lot of versatility.
50 Is Not Old | Sun and Fun I can’t wait to get a manicure and pedicure while I am here. Even though I have loved my Romeo and Joliet nail polish all winter, I feel the need to have a spring color. I think a coral or orange/red color would help my winter mood. I’m off tomorrow to the outlet stores, lets hope my financial diet survives. Haha Don’t count on it though. Lol!!!

  1. How serendipitous that your top went so well with your sweater! It looks so fresh! Well, it’s bright and sunny here today and it will be 40. We are having a wonderful winter here in Michigan. Use some self-tanner on your legs and arms rather than frying in the sun. I know too many people who had melanomas when they got a bit older. The sun is not our friend especially because we gals want to avoid brown spots and wrinkles. We are heading South at the end of the month. We are on the final week of baby watch and my son from Tampa is flying in next Saturday. Enjoy that mani and pedi!

    1. Wow, Sharon, that is a big word. I had to look up it’s definition.?

  2. I’m so glad I found you on Pinterest. As a 60+++ grandmother, I love fashion and especially accessories. Even though we live in the NW, we stay as active as possible even when it’s cold. We live on a beautiful golf course in Washington so we can sneak out to play when weather permits. A good portion of my friends are 10 to 15 years younger than me so I need to keep up! My 13 year old granddaughter says I always look nice and sassy. I love that. You have already inspired me to clean clothes I don’t wear out of my closet. Two big black bags went bye bye yesterday! Yippee!

  3. You look great in that outfit…so fresh!! Since I am a Phoenix AZ girl thanks for the reminder about the self tanner. I am going to need it for our sunny weather next week, although my pool water is only 58 degrees so I won’t be doing any swimming yet!

  4. Love this look and the fact that you are in actual sunshine! It’s still quite chilly here so you may want to stay in Florida another week or two. I know I sure would! Great colors you are wearing… VERY cute sweater. Have fun shopping!

  5. I had to start the Spring nail color too, I recommend Cajun Shrimp by OPI.

You look wonderful. I love your attention to detail – the yellow bracelet, long necklace, neutral shoes. I am a huge Talbots shopper – makes up about 75% of my wardrobe. I don’t have that sweater unfortunately. I love how you paired it with something a little more contemporary from Target. I try to stay away from shorts unless I’m on vacation and won’t run into anyone I know. I much prefer capri pants – more flattering. Can’t wait for your next picture.

  7. Your outfit makes me want Spring to arrive even faster. It looks adorable on you. Also, I can relate to being pale. I always say my legs are so white they glow in the dark! Thank God for self tanner!!

    1. You are so right, Libby. I will do a post before long on the self-tanner I use.

  8. Your blog is fun to read and I like your sense of humor mixed in with your cute outfits! Thank you-

  9. Love the outfit and sunshine!

I love this outfit!!!! It’s adorable. I need to find something similar. I’m really craving spring myself and am jealous you’re in Florida. 🙂 Enjoy!
