Talbots Try-On Haul Of The Latest Fall Fashions 2023
I did this Talbots Try-On Haul Of The Latest Fall Fashions at least three weeks ago. There has been a lot going on, and I’m just now getting time to write this post. The good news is that my procrastination paid off for you! Talbots is having a FALLSALE with lots of items at 50% off already marked-down prices, and they are also having a 25% off tops, pants, jeans, and shoes sale, and both sales run through the 15th. I told you it was good news!

Most of these items are included in the 25% off sale. Colors might be slightly off due to lighting, so be sure to consult the photos on Talbot’s website. For sizing reference, I am 5’6″ tall, weigh around 150 lb., and I’m usually a size 8 in bottoms and a medium or large in tops.

I wanted to start out with a BANG! I am a huge Fair Isle sweater fan, and I rarely pass up the opportunity to try one on. The color combination is what caught my eye, and I love how it looked with the STRAIGHT LEG JEANS. For some reason, this is the only pair of jeans that I tried, so you will see a lot of them in this post.

Here is a closer view of the sweater. You can see the bright green and turquoise colors, which brighten the look of the sweater. When you do an in-store try-on haul, you are at the mercy of the store on what size you can choose. Normally, I would have worn a medium, but the store was out of that size. I’m wearing a small, and it doesn’t look bad, but I would still probably go with a medium just in case I want to wear a button-up shirt under it.

All of my color-loving gurls have to be happy with my first two outfits. I love this outfit because it is one that you can wear in spring when the weather is still cool, but you are sooo over all the dark colors of winter.

This v-neck sweater is cashmere, so it is super soft and comfy. It does have a small balloon sleeve, but nothing huge, so you could still wear it under a blazer or jacket. I usually pick a large for my cashmere sweaters, but this medium looks fine. I’m always afraid I will shrink my cashmere, and I want a little extra wiggle room. Lol!

Layering is a great way to transition into fall and winter. A vest will keep your core warm, and you can add a coat for extra warmth when Old Man Winter comes to visit.

I like the longer length of this vest, and it would be great to wear with leggings. The medium is plenty roomy, and I could wear a heavier sweater under it with no problem.

This was one of my favorite looks of the day. The cardigan and crewneck shell are sold separately, but I love wearing them as a set. These could be dressed up easily with a skirt, heels, and some jewelry. However, I love how nicely they elevate the look of jeans.

Here is how the outfit looks without the cardigan. You could wear this shell as a vest and layer it over a button-up shirt like these.

Here is a close-up look at the Chanel-looking shell. You could pair it with this faux wrap skirt for a classic look, or with this faux leather skirt for an edgy vibe. Which style would you choose?

Sweater vests are really trending this year! I like the large cowl neck of this one and the button detail that runs down the side. You can see that the medium is a little too big on me, so if you are between sizes you might want to size down.

Boy, oh, boy, I do love the way the vest looks with the quilted barn jacket!!! Does this scream fall, or what?

Now you can see the subtle animal print of the barn jacket. That is a detail I really like, and I also like the trim on the pockets. Unfortunately, this is one of the items that isn’t on sale, but I’m sure it will be before long since Talbots has great sales all the time.

I wanted to try the sweater vest on with these corduroy demi boots pants. I love Talbots stretch corduroy, and I already have several pairs hanging in my closet. However, the Demi boot pant is a new one that I hadn’t seen before. I LIKE it!!!

This straight-leg corduroy pant is the style that I’ve been used to seeing. These fit great and have just enough stretch to them for comfort but not enough to make them sag. The green is more like Olive, not nearly as bright as it appears in these photos.

If there is anything I love more than a Fair Isle sweater, it is a cable knit sweater. You can see the quality of this sweater jumping out of the photo. I love the color and style, and if I had any con, it would be that the funnel neck is pretty high.

I love vests. Great for fall.
Yay! I’ve been waiting for the Talbots try on haul. I love corduroys and the cable knit sweater. I really like the sweater vest too. I would put a shirt under it, for sure. Good to know that it runs big.
Love all the fall colors!
