This is the first Friday’s Favorites that I’ve done in a LONG time. I think that all of the items today are from Amazon, but that won’t always be the case. Every time I go on Amazon, I find myself saying, “you didn’t know that you needed that.” Lol! These are just a few things that we’ve ordered in to try, some will stay, and some will get the old heave-ho!

I read somewhere that there might be a battery shortage, but I think that they were talking about the batteries for electric cars. I don’t have one of those, but I do go through a lot of batteries. So, after doing some research, I ordered some AA, AAA, and 9-volt rechargeable batteries.

From what I have read, a battery will hold a charge on a remote control car for up to 17 hours at a time. That is a long time since those things can suck a battery dry. Plus, you can recharge them hundreds, if not thousands, of times. I ordered this charger that can charge all three-size batteries. And, from my research, the Amazon Basics was one of the better battery choices, which actually surprised me. I figured it would be one of the better-known battery companies.

This plunger and toilet brush combo might not be the most glamorous purchase, but it sure is a useful one. This is one of those things that you didn’t know you needed, but I bet that you do! When Joe and I bought a new house, I had to buy plungers for the bathrooms. Since we were the only ones at the house, I only bought these for the 2 downstairs bathrooms. However, we had company spend the night, and I ordered these in for the upstairs bathrooms. Joe told me that I didn’t need one for every bathroom, and I rolled my eyes at him and said, “if you were a guest at someone’s house, would you want to have to ask them for a plunger?” I won that argument!!!

This wasn’t a product that I thought that I needed, but it was one that I wanted to try out. I have seen several versions of this style of brush and hairdryer, and some of them are quite expensive. I had some pros and cons with this product. Pros: it added volume to my hair, and surprisingly, it didn’t tangle my hair at all. Cons: it took a while to dry my hair.

I am not sure that the drying time is fair to this product since I am used to my Dyson, which is very fast. If you need volume, you might want to try this out.

If you don’t already own satin pillowcases, do yourself a favor and order these today. Satin pillowcases are great for your hair and skin. I’ve used them for years, but I’ve paid way more than this. Satin pillowcases don’t break your hair as much, and you wake up with smoother hair. Hopefully, you won’t wake up with a rat’s nest. Lol! These come in many colors, but I ordered the wrong size, so I’ve got to send mine back and get the correct size.

I’m not sure if you need these car cling sun shields, but I sure do. I have to change clothes in my car all of the time so that these sun shields will come in handy. These just cling to your window and peel off when you don’t need them. They come in a pack of 4, and I am excited to try these out. I won’t be mooning people in the next car over anymore. Lol!!!

Have you seen the Clarisonic brushes before? This is very similar but at a fraction of the cost. So, you remove your makeup and use one of the brushes to take off your makeup. There is a daily brush and an exfoliating brush, and they are both extremely soft. Plus, there is a large body brush and a pumice stone for your feet, elbows, or callouses.

Honestly, I’ll probably send this back. But, it is a great price if you like this kind of thing. If you are needing a quick 5-minute makeup tutorial, I added one a couple of months ago that should be helpful.

This will be staying with me. This is a Vanity Planet facial steamer, and I am shocked, but I love it. You take off your makeup and then use this steamer to open up your pores so that your skincare can penetrate easier. Since I had a sinus headache from the weather moving through, I used this and breathed in the steam. You used distilled water with this.

Speaking of a steamer! I will be traveling to Nashville in a few weeks to meet up with some of my friends. I have been looking for a good handheld steamer that I can take with me when I travel, and this one is great. I ordered a couple of others that were highly recommended, and they were not good at all. This little baby put out a lot of steam and did a great job. It did take about 90 seconds before the steam started, but then it came rolling out.

I’ve been carrying my animal print tote lately, but I wasn’t digging the fact that it didn’t have any structure to it at all. It just fell over the minute that I sat it down, so I ordered a purse insert for it. As you can see, I have already stuffed this baby full! Lol! I ordered a gray one since the inside of this bag was gray. I measured the handbag and then ordered a smaller insert, but it is still the XL size. These come in several colors and sizes.

Why are you sending the face thing back?? Just wondering. 🙂

    1. I just don’t think that I will use it.

  2. Frances Strange says:

Yep, the way is to dry your hair 75% with your Dyson and then go over it with the hot brush. Perfect every time!

  3. Great ideas! The purse insert really interests me!

    Thank you for sharing!

  4. I couldn’t find the link to the pillowcase. I had purchased a satin pillow case before, and it snagged and pulled so I had to throw it out. I am looking for something so my hair isn’t “bedhead” every morning.

  5. I love that hair dryer! I have very thick hair and either let it dry to damp first or use my hair dryer to get most of the moisture out and finish with the Revlon dryer.

Like you, I want my tote handbags to stand up and I have to have organization in my handbags. I am wondering if this insert adds much weight to your handbag.

    1. It isn’t the insert that adds much weight, it is all of the stuff that I put in the insert. 🤣

  7. KAREE B GANDER says:

I just watched your Amazon items. I really enjoyed it. I can’t see the link to the shirt though. Can we get more info?

  8. I just purchased the bag insert for my Coach tote. I loved my tote but didn’t use it because everything “fell to the middle.” The insert is awesome and follow the guide dimensions for size! Now, I just need to remember which pockets hold my stuff. LOL! The Bed Sure cooling sheets are also amazing. I can’t wait to try the steamer and satin pillowcases.

    1. Tina, that was how this bag was. It all fell over, and now it stands up straight. I hope it still looks good when I carry it, so that is the next test.
