THE BASICS OF A CAPSULE WARDROBE

Today, we are starting with a basic white t-shirt. This will be great for wearing on its own, or for layering under a jacket or cardigan. A good basic white t-shirt is not easy to find. You will find them too thin, too short, too clingy, or they may wrinkle too easy. It may take you a couple of tries before you find the right one for you. The one that I am wearing is by Old Navy, and it is a tiny bit thin. However, as you can see from the photo, you can’t see through it. I am wearing a nude color bra, which I highly recommend. Nude is the color of your skin, so there is less chance that your bra will show. There is a luxe t-shirt from Old Navy that has thicker material, and I linked to it in the photos below.
I did not include jewelry, shoes, or purses in the items for the capsule wardrobe. This will be strictly clothing items for fall in the capsule. My jewelry is simple since the look is simple. The Ridge silver hoop earrings are a medium size, with a 1.5″ drop. I also have on the simple silver bar necklace that you can personalize if you wish. If I am packing for a trip, then I try to take some basic silver and gold pieces, and then I will take something for a dressy occasion, such as pearls.
My studded snakeskin print loafers by Steve Madden are going to be a favorite of mine this fall. I love the print, and I love the unique detail of the studs. Small items such as the studs can make a big difference in the look of your clothing. This style of loafer is pretty popular at this time. If you are not a fan of the studs or the snakeskin print, then here are a few others that would look great for fall.
Since this is supposed to be a capsule wardrobe, I wanted to choose a pair of jeans that would work for most occasions. I picked the Kut From The Kloth boot cut jeans that I wore the other day. Because of the darker denim, these will work for a dressy occasion, as well as casual, like today’s look. Also, I will be able to wear ankle boots with these jeans, as well as flats and heels. Remember to consider how versatile an item is when you are making a purchase. I linked to these jeans the other day that was on sale, but they sold out of most sizes. So, today, I found them at another store where they have plenty of different sizes, but they are at a regular price.
I hope you like the idea of a travel or capsule wardrobe. Now to see if I can make this happen. Lol!
I am packing my own capsule wardrobe this weekend since I am going to be going to Nashville on Tuesday. I am super excited to be going since I am going to be meeting some of my R+F team that I have never met in person. It seems crazy to me that I have never met these ladies, but I already know them. I have talked to them on the phone several times, and we see each other on our weekly ZOOM calls. We have ladies from Texas, New Jersey, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alaska, Virginia, Alabama, and Michigan, all staying in our house. Part of the beauty of an online business is the fact that you do not have a “territory” that you have to keep in. My R+F team is widespread, even into Canada and Australia. I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that R+F is going to announce that we will be going to Japan. I don’t know anyone in, or from, Japan, but maybe you do. Let me know if you know of someone who lived there before, this could be a big opportunity for them. Also, R+F will be announcing at least two new products on Friday. I love that they are continually innovating new products and tools to help all of us look better and feel better about ourselves.
I am trying to grow my Instagram, so if you do not already follow me, please do that by clicking here. Remember to sign up for my daily emails. Thanks so much for following me on my blog. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Tania, my son just last week returned home after living in Japan for 10 years! You will absolutely love it if you get to go. I’ve been there twice. There is no where else on earth like it!
super excited for the capsule as I am trying to size down my wardrobe and just have less stuff!
