The Cutest Spring Capris to Buy Now
What do you think of when you think of capris? When I saw that they were trending in a big way for 2024, my mind immediately when to pedal pushers and Ann Margaret. Funnily enough, when I looked for an image of her wearing them, I found exactly zero. Lol. I did, however, find lots of celebrities wearing capris now. People like Katie Holmes and Sandra Bullock. They make a great alternative in warmer months to jeans or shorts. Today, I’m sharing some of the cutest spring capris to buy now. Let me know your faves!
There is a blurred line between capri and cropped. Some of the items I’m sharing today might be more cropped than capri; it can depend on how long your legs are. Also, capri pants have been associated with looking older, so it is fun to see that they are having a moment. Here are some tips to help you navigate the capri trend and look stylish.
3 Tips For Wearing Capri Pants
- Fit: Capri pants can hit you in the widest spot on your leg, and that makes your legs look shorter. To correct that issue, look for styles that hit just below the widest part of your calf.
- Proportions matter: The style of top you wear with capri pants is the same as you would cropped pants. Tops that are either cropped or tucked in will help create the illusion of longer legs. Vertical stripes or patterns will trick the eye and draw it upward, creating a more elongated look.
- Shoes: Pointed-toe flats, sandals, or nude heels can help elongate the legs and create a more flattering silhouette. Shoes with ankle straps will visually cut off the legs at an unflattering point, so I suggest avoiding those when wearing capri pants.
These casual high-waist palazzo pants are a dream! They come with a comfy drawstring waist that’s perfect for finding that just-right fit, and the wide-leg style is super flattering. What’s great is they’re versatile enough for anything from a chill day at home to running errands in style. Plus, they’re made from a linen and rayon blend, making them soft and breathable. Whether pairing them with a simple tee for a laid-back vibe or dressing them up for a night out, they’re a great option for easy, stylish comfort. And at $29.99, they’re a total steal!

How pretty are these wide-leg capris jeans in vibrant Hot Pink? The raw hem adds such a cool, edgy vibe that’s totally on-trend. I love how the wide legs give a breezy, flowy feel, making them super comfy and perfect for moving around in style. If you don’t love hot pink, they are available in several others.
Caprils can be elegant! The high waist and elastic waistband are fantastic for a bit of tummy control, and the dressy design with a faux fly and non-functional pockets keeps things sleek for the office. I love the straight-leg cut and the chic cuffed pants with slit details. They come in 19″ and 20.5″ inseams, making them a great fit for petites. They are available in ten colors.
Looking for something comfortable? The fabric of these capris is a game-changer – soft and stretchy, and it wicks moisture away, keeping you cool and comfy all day. I love the adjustable waistband and drawstring for a perfect fit. The six pockets are super handy for stashing essentials like a phone, cards, and even a lipstick. These capris are not only great for hiking and lounging but also chic enough for casual work days. Just a heads-up, the white option might need a little layering underneath. Be sure to wear nude underwear and bras when wearing anything white. I’ve also heard that red works, but I’ve never tried it, and it doesn’t seem like it would work to me. Let me know if you’ve tried red with white and if it worked.

These are very similar, but I like the details, such as the zipper slant pockets and the tie at the hem. The reviewers say that these are very soft and comfortable. They come in several colors and would be great for any casual event. Going for a walk, running errands, need to stop by a friend’s house? These are much cooler than the ubiquitous blue jeans!
These fabulous linen and cotton blend pants are comfy yet chic! They’re breathable and lightweight, making them perfect for any day-to-night activities. The high-waisted, wide-leg design is flattering and comfy, plus the tie-knot front and side pockets add a cute touch. They would work great for lounging at home, running errands, or even a casual date. Pair them with a simple crop tee and sneakers for a laid-back look, or a blouse and some cute sandals for a more dressed-up vibe. They are available in lots of colors, but I loved this neutral version.
NYDJ gets in the capri game with these amazing straight-leg capris from Nordstrom. Seriously, how chic are they!?! They’re not only stylish with their utility patch pockets but also incredibly flattering, thanks to the Lift Tuck® Technology that smoothes the front and lifts in the back. They are easy to care for with a machine wash and line dry. They are also limited in sizes; I guess everyone has gotten the memo that they are trending.

These had me at CoolMax! This is another nice version from NYDJ. With a 25″ inseam and a zip fly with button closure, they’re practical and stylish. Made from a blend of cotton, CoolMax polyester, and Lycra spandex, they’re designed to keep you cool and comfortable, especially in the heat. These will stretch with wear, so order one size down.
I am a huge fan of Wit and Wisdom! I buy a pair or two every single year at the Nordstrom sale. The smooth stretch fabric is a dream to wear. I think the full-length wide-leg design of these paired with a super high waist is so flattering. Look how cute they are with a simple top and sneakers. It is possible to be comfortable and chic!

I spent last year getting rid of the capris because so many fashion mavens were horrified at women looking frumpy. Photos were widely used with grave warnings about the dreaded wide calf look. So they are being recommended again?
That is exactly what I thought too, Carol. But, several celebrities have been spotted wearing them, so it seems like it might be headed in that direction. 🤷♀️
Have you tried shapewear? Would you share brand that you like?
Sue, I don’t love shapewear because I don’t feel like being compressed. If I wear shapewear, I order a larger side than I need so it is just smoothing, not compressing.
Nice choices for casual or dressy occasions!
okay, I will revisit the capris. As a petite woman I have had a hard time wearing them, I want to look taller.
Well I got rid of all my capris. These styles are so cute, I guess I’ll be doing some shopping!
Thanks for the Capri tips. I agree about length. I need to make sure mine hit below my “athletic” calf! I’ve had some Capri in the past that I always felt dumpy in and I think this is why.
I never stopped wearing them. I live in Arizona and it’s hot!! here so jeans are not on my summer list of things to wear and shorts don’t look good at all on me so capris are my go-to choice. How nice that for once I will be in style even if for a short time. 🙂
So glad to see that capris are making a comeback and that there are so many choices.
Guess it’s a good thing I never got rid of my capri pants!
