THE PERFECT OUTFIT FOR RELAXING BY THE FIRE
Well, I survived Friday the 13th without any revenge pranks from Joe. I don’t know how Friday the 13th became known as a day when bad things happen, but I have always looked on the day differently. My mom and dad were married on a Friday the 13th, and without that happening, I wouldn’t be here. So, I look on that day fondly. Also, I barely missed being born on Friday the 13th, and instead, I was born on Saturday the 14th. But, after the day that I had yesterday at work, I might have to reconsider my position.
I went out to work, thinking that I would only have to stay a few hours, and then I would go and get my nails done. As I type, my nails look like crap, so that didn’t happen. I went to pay a few bills, reconcile the checkbook, and see if there was anything else that I needed to take care of. One of the things that popped up was renewing the tags on Joe’s truck. I hopped online to get the tags renewed, but it gave me a code that said the transaction couldn’t be processed. I spent HOURS talking to several different people, and each person gave me a different reason for this happening. However, none of them fixed the issue. Finally, around 4:30 that afternoon, I got ahold of a lady, and she told me that everything looked good to her, she couldn’t see any reason for the error code. I logged in, and we walked through the process together. We got to one section that asked if it was business or personal, and guess what??? I had been choosing the WRONG answer every time. When I changed my answer, it went through immediately. Lol! HOURS, and I do mean HOURS were wasted, all because I chose the wrong thing. I debated not telling Joe that it was all my fault, but I confessed. He laughed and said, “will you remember that next year?” I told him that I didn’t have to remember it next year because I paid for TWO years, so I don’t have to be bothered with it again. LOL!
Who saw my Thursday Try On Haul? This is one of the sweaters that I tried on in that post, and I thought that I would go ahead and style it for you while it was still on sale. These sales won’t last forever, so grab the things you like while you can get them at a discounted price. I bet you think that this doesn’t look like my usual style, and you would be correct. I love dressing casually, but I take it in spurts. I have been in a Holiday spirit, and my style has reflected that lately. I am thinking of parties and events, going out and celebrating, and all of my choices have been geared toward that. BUT, today, I was thinking of shopping and running errands, wrapping presents, and sitting by the fire. For that kind of day, my outfit choice will be laid back and casual. This waffle knit hoodie sweater is perfect for the relaxing that I have in mind today. It is soft, casual, and it doesn’t touch me anywhere. I think that checks off all of the boxes. This is from The Loft, and it is 50% off, and that checks off another box. Lol! The sweater is machine washable, and I am wearing a medium which fits me perfectly. Here is the link to the sweater.
I also showed these heart-shaped earrings in my try-on post. I wasn’t sure that I would like the spotted print hearts, but they are cute. I ended up liking them way better than I thought that I would, and since I have already chosen to wear them, that is a good sign. These are called the Davis, and they are made of acrylic, so they are lightweight. They are also only 10.00, so they would make a great stocking stuffer. I have two necklaces on, but it looks like only one. The Christine necklace is the shorter one, and it has four strands, while the longer one is a necklace that has been discontinued. I have got to go through my jewelry and separate the discontinued items. I hate wearing something that you can’t purchase because I hate it when other people do that to me. UGH!
I bought these wedge booties before I went to Nashville for my blogging conference. I was afraid that I would be doing a ton of walking, so I purchased these booties to keep me comfortable and stylish. They performed great, and I enjoyed walking in them. I am wearing my usual size 9, and mine is the sand color. I like the modern, sporty style of these suede shoes, but they also have a sophisticated air about them. These shoes would be great even with a dress; they are that cute and versatile. Here is the link to the shoes which are way cheaper than when I bought them.
I have had these pants for a long time, but they were hidden behind a black pair. So, today, when I was rummaging through my closet, I found them, and I was thrilled. It was like Christmas or finding money in your coat pocket. I had completely forgotten about this pair of pants. I love this deep red/burgundy/maroon pair of skinny jeans/leggings. These look like jeans, but they are lighter weight, and they fit more like a legging. They are stretchy, and I want to thank whoever invited spandex personally. Lol!
I wanted to remind everyone of the new feature in the Menu bar: Shop My Post. You can click on that and see the latest links, or use it as a search engine to look back at previous outfits.
Someone mentioned in a comment that they missed me not posting as much about the skincare that I use. I love my skincare, I use my skincare, and I could talk to you for hours about the skincare. But, I figured that you might not want to hear about it daily, so I am only posting when something is important. This is important!!! It can save you an additional 20% off of the purchase price for two of the best sellers. Lash Boost is solely responsible for my lashes (look back when I first started blogging if you don’t believe me), and Active Hydration Serum is why I no longer have skin like a crocodile. If you want to ask me any questions, then shoot me a message to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com. If you’re going to make a purchase, then make sure to do that as my Preferred Customer so that you can get an additional 15% off the purchase price and FREE shipping. Yep! This is an important announcement!!! If you want to get any of the products before Christmas, you need to order no later than the 15th to guarantee you will have the products by then. Here is the link to the ShowStopper Set, and you can view other products from there also if you are not interested in the special.
If you haven’t subscribed to my daily email reminder, why haven’t you??? Let’s remedy that right now, enter your email, and I’ll send you ONE email per day. Also, please pin one of my pictures on Pinterest so that others can find their way to the blog. The more, the merrier.
Thanks so much for following me on my blog. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
I have to get wine pants. I also love those wine flats you wear and yet don’t have one single piece of wine in my wardrobe. Now I know what to get me for Christmas. I have the boots and a similar sweater in cream. You were meant to fashion blog. It’s a calling. Not everyone is good at it. Love the photo.
Awww, that is sweet. I told my mom that I have been in training to be a blogger all my life. I love yo shop!!!!
Your mom has a wonderful smile and the most delicate hands! I can see you in her smile.
Bought this sweater for my husband to give me for Christmas, great price!
Enjoy your mini vacation!
I noticed how delicate her hands looked too. I like the way you think. ?
Cute outfit,Tania! I love that sweet picture of your parents ? You look a lot like your mama ❤️ Have a fun trip!
I never thought that her, but this photo makes me rethink that.
My youngest son was born on Friday the 13th, so like you it is difficult for me to think badly about the day. I really like this outfit and a more casual style is what I prefer. I absolutely love the picture of your parents and you really favor your mom! 🙂
I love that photo of them, but my mom hates it. ?
Such a sweet photo of your parents! Sure you have heard this before but you look just like your mom!
That is funny because I haven’t ever really been told that we look alike. Lol! I noticed it in that photo also.
Tania, I love today’s outfit. It looks so comfy and very stylish, and that’s sometimes a hard combo to achieve. I am curious about that diet book you and your sister were doing. I have thought you look slimmer the last couple of posts, but it’s almost too soon. Whatever you are doing, you look great, but I hope you’ll update us on if you’re pursuing that plan, and how you think it’s working. I have done intermittent fasting before, but never to the point of one meal per day. If that would really work, I’d like to know because I am up a few pounds that act like they’re here to stay–eek! Have fun at Myrtle Beach!
Sandra, I have only lost a few pounds, but I am not finding the diet hard to do at all. I have gotten used to black coffee, and I don’t start eating until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I try to just eat a snack then, and eat dinner around 6. I try not to eat anything after 7, but I have had an occasional slip-up or two.
Thanks! I just might have to try this. You’re truly looking great!!
Thanks so much, Sandra❤️
Great look today! Have fun in Myrtle Beach!!
Thanks bunches!
Cute outfit! You make casual look classy. ? And, I adore the picture of your parents!! I can totally see you in your mom’s face. ❤️
Thanks, Tara! This is one of the only photos that I see me in my mom.
Love the more casual outfit.
Wow! You look so much like your Mother!
Thanks. Do you think that I look like my mom?
Haha, it goes the same way here with the photos! Enjoy your weekend away!
Nancy, I am sure that you can sympathize with me.
Just a really cute and casual outfit. You look like a young kid. I think you look great in everything you wear. You really know how to styleyour clothes, I guess that’s why I love your blog so much. Have a wonderful vacation. Make sure Joe gets to play lots of gold while you ship lol.
I wish that Joe would make friends in that area so that he would have someone to play golf with when we go down. But, I don’t mind shopping all by myself. Lol!
