Take The Time To Be Thankful
This is the day that the Lord has made. That is one of my favorite songs. Anytime I am feeling a little down, or lost, this song always comes to mind. It never fails to ground me, to remind me that I am a small little speck in the big picture of life. But, THIS is the day. The Lord made this day. I am blessed.
In a sermon one day, our preacher posed this question. What if you only had what you thanked the Lord for? In other words, in your prayers, what do you thank the Lord for? Family, health, and friends are things we all are thankful for. But what about all the everyday things? In November, we are reminded to be thankful, but we need to take the time each day to give thanks.
When I started this blog 5 months ago, I had no idea what I was doing. Honestly, I am still not sure how, or why, I have been blessed to have so many readers. Many of you have said that I am an inspiration. The only thing I can figure, is the Lord has a plan. I know I have no idea what that plan might be, but I am along for the ride.
I am thankful for each of you. I am thankful.
Have a blessed Sunday! Yes, this is the day the Lord has made. Thank you for being obedient and in the process being an example to me and blessing myself and others!
I wouldn’t go so far as to say obedient. I struggle daily, but I hope I can use the blog as a blessing to others, as well as myself.
I too enjoy your blog! You are a hoot and I always get a chuckle . You are looking great….diet must be coming along great. Have a blessed day. Diane
Thanks Diane. The diet has taken a beating here lately. But, I have been doing research on bathing suits,(upcoming post) and it reminded me to get back on the wagon. ?
Wonderful outfit, and message. You are such a positive force, that’s why readers are drawn to you! xo

Thank you so much, Patti!
God is using you to touch and uplift people. By the time some ladies reach the 50 mark life can leave them feeling not very pretty. You give that encouragement to look and feel better about yourself. I am one of those women. I had stage 4 colon cancer 15 years ago and God touched and healed me. I also have had breast cancer and am cancer free, Praise, Honor and Glory to God for his wonderful mercy. When I took chemo I gained over 40 pounds and have lost 1/2 of one of my breast. Those things can make you feel ugly on the outside even though I am so very grateful for God sparing my live. You give me so much encouragement by seeing how beautiful you look each day. I am taking your picture with me to the hair dresser. I would so love for my hair to look like yours. Can you please share how you style your hair. Thank you so much my Christian sister for all that you do.
That is wonderful Kathy! You are the inspiration!!! We can take our health for granted, and you are a wonderful reminder that we should be thankful to the Lord for everyday he has given us. Also, good luck with the hair?
We are blessed to have you and I am thankful I found your blog. Enjoy your fashions, but like the other reader said, feel like I know you through your stories! Keep them coming gurl! Have a great day!
Thanks Toni!
What an awesome thought – remembering ALL blessings. We did a journal in a ladies group I was in. The goal was over time to list 1000 things we’re thankful for. It always amuses me when we open ourselves up how God will use us. Just be a willing vessel and you are. You touch many women with your humor and everyday real fashion ideas. I know l look forward to reading what you’ve shared that day. Glad I found your blog. Your outfit today is very chic. Love the dress with those shoes. Have a blessed day.
Michele, that is an awesome idea. There is so much to be thankful for that we simply are overwhelmed. I may have to try listing them down. Thanks for the idea.
