Try On Haul From Old Navy – July 2023

I took my grandkids shopping the other day, and they loved Old Navy. While they were busy trying on clothes (their moms were with them), I decided to do a try on haul from Old Navy for all of you. The fall clothing hasn’t hit the stores yet, but I’ve noticed that a lot of the summer styles are in fall colors. That makes it easy to transition into fall, and you’ll get to wear your clothing longer.

This outfit is one that will transition into fall easily. The colors of the top would look great with an olive jacket or pants. The medium top fits me well, but I ended up sizing up to a 10 in the jeans. I usually wear a size 8 in jeans, however, I usually have size up when styling Old Navy bottoms.

I like the length of the top with the jeans. The twisted sandals look nice, but they are a smidge difficult to put on. I wanted to just slide my feet in, but I had to fix the straps to keep them from overlapping.

Rib-Knit V-Neck Tank Top (XL) || Mid-Rise Cargo Shorts (Large – Needed a Medium)

This ribbed tank top is an example of summer items being available in fall colors. I like wearing a tank in the fall under a cardigan or jacket. I don’t have to worry about the bulk of the sleeve showing under the cardigan or jacket, and it doesn’t make me too hot.

Rib-Knit V-Neck Tank Top (XL) || Mid-Rise Cargo Shorts (Large – Needed a Medium)

I love the cargo shorts, but the large was a little too big. The store didn’t have a medium for me to try on, but I’m sure that was the size I needed. I love the large pockets, and the 3.5″ length isn’t too short.

This black and tan outfit looks fallish also. The black t-shirt is a palm print in black, tan, and cream. I paired it with these wide-leg Pixie pants that have a seam down the front. I haven’t worn Pixie pants in a couple of years, and I forgot that I need to size up in the knit version. I’m wearing a medium, but a large would have been the better choice.

Here is the length of the top when not tucked. The black and tan espadrille wedge sandals are comfortable, and I love the color combination. They are also available in tan and cream which is a nice neutral shoe.

I found this puff sleeve jeans blouse, and I thought it would be perfect for fall. It looks great with these tan pants, but I would choose chinos pants instead of knit pants. The blouse is more casual looking than the pants.

Here is the view of the blouse so you can see the length.

And here is a look at the tie sleeve on the blouse.

Gauze fabric has been extremely popular this year. This 100% maxi dress is flowy and doesn’t touch me anywhere. It is the perfect relaxing Coastal Grandma dress.

This dress would look great with a denim jacket for a great transition outfit.

I LOVE this dress!!! The print is so vibrant, and the cut of the dress is very flattering. I’m wearing a large which is my usual size, but I needed to size up to an XL.

I couldn’t get a photo of the back of the dress, but you can see it on the website. It has a peek-a-boo open back which was a surprise. There are only a few sizes left in this dress, and my local store was out of the XL, so I left without this dress.

Fitted Short-Sleeve Lace Top (Large) || Mid-Rise Cargo Shorts (Large – Needed a Medium)

This lace top is sooo cute for summer. It is very stretchy and looks see-through, but I couldn’t see my bra through it. I paired it with the cargo shorts that I wore earlier.

This is the last outfit. It is a midi black button up shirt dress that I belted with a brown braided belt. Are you starting to get tired of me saying that it would be a great fall transition outfit? Lol!

Here is the dress without the belt so you can see the fit of the dress. The large is quite big on me, and I probably could have sized down to a medium.

I hope you liked this try-on haul from Old Navy, and be sure to leave a comment if you have a store you’d like me to do a try-on haul with.

  1. Cute outfits! I feel like I always need to try things in at Old Navy and the ones near me never have the right sizes for me. Thanks for sharing these transition outfits!

  2. Vicki Richards says:

Those jeans looked great on you! I loved the shirtdress with the belt also!

  3. I like Old Navy. I have bought a lot of tops because they offer petite sizes. I also have wide legs pants in a fall camel color. They are still available. I’m kind of leery about their jeans. They make such big back pockets on their jeans. i have a pair and kinda of feel self conscious wearing them but I still like them. I like it that Old Navy offers sizes for women of all heights.

  4. I love Old Navy. And I loved that maxi dress on you! Thanks for sharing.

  5. Great selection of items from Old Navy. Sadly, their clothing is mostly a miss on me but I still try to find something. Love the tops/shorts. Best,

  6. I love those cargo shorts on you with both tops. Neither is available online or in my store:(

    1. Linda, that’s the one thing that stinks with huge sales…, items sell out quickly.

Hi Tania, similar to the previous comments I never think to look at Old Navy so all of these look very stylish and I want to check them out further. Do you find the sizing is a little on the smaller side?

    1. The jeans can run smaller. However, I’ve in a while I’ll come across a pair that runs really large. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  8. Love the short sleeve lace top! Are they out of the color you tried on? Looks so good on you!

  9. Everything looked great on you! Those jeans are very slimming! I never shopped for myself at Old Navy, definitely have to check it out!

  10. Wow! Lots of great ideas for casual/dressy teaching.
    Thank you!

  11. I loved the Old Navy try on haul! I’m 64 and work p/t at Old Navy. It’s great to see a woman close to my age wearing the clothes. Gives me an idea of what would look good on me and how to style an outfit. Now if only Old Navy would make their tops a bit longer for those of us who are no longer in our teens and twenties!

  12. Thanks for the try on haul, these are my favorite!!! You look fabuolous in outfit. 🙂

  13. Great outfits, Tania! My favorites on you are the two summery maxi dresses and for me I really love those cargo shorts and both tops. Really cute!

  14. Love all of the clothes you tried on, they look great on you!

  15. Loved the floral print top. However that’s not the one you linked. You look great in that floral dress. I hope it came home with you.

    1. Jan, think the link is correct, you just have to choose the print I’m wearing.

  16. You look great in everything you put on! I don’t know how you do it!
