Try On Haul With Talbots, Kohl’s, Loft, And More
I could have titled this post as a photo dump. These pictures got lost in the hundreds of photos on my phone, and I wanted to use them before everything sold out. Some of the items are already limited in size, and some are on a waitlist, but hopefully, you’ll be able to find something you like.
Try On Haul With Kohl’s
I love this outfit from Kohl’s. Easter is early this year and is on March 31st. I actually prefer it later in April so that the temperatures are warmer. All the kiddos running around looking for eggs won’t mind, but the moms and grandmas would love sunshine and warm weather.
This V-Neck Tiered Maxi Dress is a gorgeous color and print! The dress is flattering and has long sleeves. That will provide a tiny bit of warmth and hide my upper arms, which are terribly white and flabby.
This Simply Vera Vera Wang handbag is a great size. It can work with almost all outfits and is the perfect size for all your goodies. I like that it has several different pockets to keep your items organized.
Try On Haul With Talbots
In my survey earlier this year, I asked what type of outfits you wore the most. The overwhelming #1 answer was – casual clothing! I knew y’all were my kind of gurls!!!
My mind is drawn to dressy outfits, but my heart is drawn to casual styles. You will find me wearing casual outfits like this most of the time, and my closet is stuffed with jeans, jeans, and more jeans!
Call me crazy, but I love an outfit that doesn’t touch me anywhere. Who would have thought that a large rectangular piece of cloth could look so cute and be so cozy? I love that this poncho has sleeves; I’m not fond of the kind that are open. Since this has buttons down the front, you could also wear it as a cardigan.
Strangely enough, the one thing missing from my wardrobe are long-sleeved T-shirts. I have lots of short-sleeved tees in many colors, but only one or two that have long sleeves.
I like this Crewneck Tee, and I especially like the seams that make it fit better. This top is perfect for a chilly spring or summer day since it is fairly thin and lightweight. I always recommend wearing a nude bra or camisole anytime you wear a white top. I usually order a large in tees, but I read this one was roomy. The medium fit perfectly, and I could wear this by itself and not be uncomfortable.
This look is a favorite of mine! I tried a similar sweater jacket last year and ended up not buying it. Why is it that you sometimes regret certain non-purchases, and they almost haunt you?
As soon as I saw this Sweater Jacket on the website this year, I immediately placed an order before it sold out. This is a fairly heavyweight sweater and is perfect for transitioning into spring. I want to wear spring clothing, but the weather keeps forcing me back into my winter clothes. This outfit is perfect for now, and it makes me happy.
Can you see the quality of this sweater??? I also like that the white extends around the back on the collar and hem, plus the side stripes are a great visual detail.
Try On Haul With Loft
Loft is a blog favorite, and I know why! There clothing isn’t as dressy as their sister store, Ann Taylor, so it is perfect for us who want casual styles that are fashionable.
The Tipped Ribbed Sweater Jacket is a version of the Lady Jacket which I posted about here. Most Lady Jackets are striped, so those who prefer solid colors will like this look better. You still get the same look, but slightly different. I liked adding the Striped Ribbed Sweater Tank Top under the sweater jacket. This gave me the stripes I wanted, but the sweater jacket still was the star item.
These Mid Rise Boot Jeans fit well, and I love the medium wash color. The website calls this a vintage dark wash, but it isn’t a deep, dark wash. I’m wearing my usual size 29, and they fit great. A slight bootcut is a great style of jeans and is universally flattering for almost every body shape.
I had a few more outfits to show, but everything had already sold out. 🙄 It is that time of the year when spring clothing is just starting to hit the stores, and everyone is buying things up quickly. Hopefully, more inventory will be added as spring gets closer.

Ah, shoot! I really like the zip up sweater in your final picture!
I still really love the khaki and white striped poncho I bought from your recommendation from J Crew last year. I get complements every time I wear it.
Shower cute jeans outfits!!
Oh, that navy and white zip up sweater from Talbots is a winner! If I think too long before I buy it might sell out, too. Well, I’ll give myself 24 hours to see it it still is winking at me!
Love the Kohls dress for Easter – because I know it will be a cold one!
I love your Joe stories. He reminds me of my late husband who’s was name was Joe also. He never let me drive but I had to drive him home from hospital one time because he had anesthesia and couldn’t drive. He thought I drove to slow. So we were driving along and all of a sudden he said, “I feel like we are going backwards.” I thought that was so funny I let him have that one. Miss him so much. Take care of your Joe and praying for a quick recovery for Joe and your brother.
Linda, that was such a funny remark! I’m sure my Joe thought that too.
I like them all. the sweater jackets are on my list to try for spring.
