It is that time of the year. It is time to go back to school time, or at least it is in some areas of the country. Everyone is trying to figure out how to navigate schooling with this virus still around, but either way, the kiddos need to have clothes. So, I enlisted two cutie pies to show their favorite back to school looks with everyone.

Over the weekend, I went to have a photoshoot with a couple of outfits. My DIL was taking my photos for me, and the kids tagged along. I’ve been trying to get them to take pictures of their outfits for all so that I could put them on the blog. If you are anything like me, then you enjoy buying the grandchildren an outfit that they want and love.

Emersyn is seven going on fourteen. Lol! She is getting out of the baby girl phase and starting to want to look like a big girl. If you have a daughter/granddaughter, then you probably know about JoJo Siwa. If you haven’t heard of JoJo before, then think big bows, bright colors, and lots of energy. Lol! Emersyn picked out a 2-piece legging set, but only wore the tunic tee today since it was too hot for the leggings. I have a part Yorkie dog (Lucy), so that might have influenced her choice. She is in size 7-8, and the clothing runs true to size.

I loved her cute denim shorts. The frayed hem of these shorts was too cute, and the denim stands up to the rough and tumble world of children. These fit Emersyn great, and they run true to size. The only color that I could find online in this short is black, but I found some similar ones that are Emersyn approved.

When Emersyn showed me her multi-striped high top sneakers, I almost gasped. Lol! These are so bright that they almost hurt my eyes. Hahaha! But, she was so proud of them, and she thinks that they are adorable. The shoes make her happy, and isn’t that what fashion is supposed to do? She is wearing a size 13, which looks big on her, but she insists that they fit her fine.

While Emersyn loved her fashion shoot, little man was not as amused. We tried hard to get a photo of his complete outfit, but he was only interested in playing in the water. I can’t say that I blame him since it was scorching outside today. One thing to remember when picking out children’s clothing is that it has to be “play” friendly. They need to be able to run, jump and climb in their clothing, so comfort is a huge factor.

Does his face say how thrilled he is to be having his photo taken? Lol! That is what he gets for being such a cutie-pie!!! His cute 3-button henley tee shirt is perfect for him to play in, but it is also great for looking nice for photos or eating out. I love it when clothing can be worn in more than one area. The shirt is tag-free, so no itching for my baby. The toddler version is almost sold out in this gray color, but the little boy version comes in navy and maroon.

The pull-on dock shorts that Beckham was wearing are from Carter’s. When you have a toddler, a pull-on style pant is a lifesaver. They hate anything that buttons, especially if they are starting to go to the bathroom all by themselves. This 100% soft cotton short comes in several colors, but little man is wearing orange.

If your loved one has never tried Native brand shoes, then you are going to hug my neck for introducing you to them. These shoes are what my grands live in! They love them because they don’t rub their feet and that they are easy for them to put on by themselves. Mom loves them because they are easy to clean with a washcloth or magic eraser, and even though they are rubber, they never stink. She has tried the “dups” or “look-alike” versions of these shoes, but the kids hated them. They come in several styles (here), but Beckham and Emersyn love the Jefferson style.

I cracked up when I was looking through these photos of the kids. You can sure tell the difference between boys and girls by just looking at their expressions. This look is what Beckham thought of the photoshoot.

And, here would be Emersyn’s thoughts. She seems much more thrilled to have her photo taken. Lol!

Ask Beckham to take a photo, and you will see his back as he walks away. This photo reminds me of his father so much. I have a Christmas ornament somewhere that is of the back of his head. They took the pictures at pre-school, and he refused to turn around. Lol!

Emersyn is a blogger in-training. Haha! If you mention taking pictures around her, she is all in and ready to strike a pose.

The one thing that they agree on is, waiting for NeNe to get finished taking photos is BORING!!! I know that this is an over 40, 50, 60, 70, etc., fashion blog, but would you occasionally like to see children’s clothing also? Be sure to let me know, it is up to you, and your thoughts count.

James 1:22-25

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

  1. Thanks for sharing the kiddos with us; they’re absolutely adorable! Those high tops are pretty cute too. I don’t have a need to see children’s clothes (wish I did) but I can always skip those posts if you decide to write them.

  2. Hi, Tania. I so enjoyed this blog with your grands. I am not fortunate to have any grandchildren (but hoping someday soon to have some). I think that it would be great to occasionally highlight kids’ clothing (back-to-school, holiday outfits, school’s out/summer clothing). I think it’s nice to mix it up a bit sometimes. Plus, those little ones of yours are so darned cute! It is always a joy to see them. God bless you and your lovely family!

Such adorable grandkids! Loved the pictures and the stories.

  9. So, so cute! Wish I had grandchildren to spoil! But I don’t…yet. Having said that, I prefer to see fashion just for us gurls, which is why I look forward to your blog everyday.

  10. I loved seeing your grandchildren today. They sure have the blond hair. Reminds me of my grandson when he was little. They are getting past this type of clothing as the youngest is 10 now. How I miss those sweet baby days. Enjoy every minute as it goes so fast! This is your blog so you post what you want. I enjoyed it.

    1. Nancy Onorato says:

Our grandkids are just out of college & we’re still very close (lucky me). So, we don’t have any little ones right now (looking forward to great-grandchildren someday!), but I always love seeing your sweet kiddos!

  12. Adorable just adorable. You are so lucky to have them live near you. My G babies live far away. 🙁

    1. I am very blessed, but I have three that don’t live near me and that is killing me.

  13. Beautiful children ????????

    2. Thanks, Chris. I was simply trying to bring something new to the blog for everyone.

  15. Such cute children and cute clothes. Better get those photos now it gets harder!!!!!

    1. I know, Rhonda. As they get older, they won’t want to hang around their grandmother.

  16. Tanya you are so blessed. You’re grandchildren are beautiful. Enjoy the ride as a grandma.

    1. Thanks, Daria. I do feel very blessed.

  17. Cute grandchildren… I have several so know what joy they will to our lives. However, in response to your question … no I am not interested in children’s clothing. Please keep to adults only.
One suggestion is instead of always showing new clothing items, shop your closet, find and create fun outfits and add some new jewelry and accessories. You look good in the large hoop earrings, but they are not for everyone. How about mix it up with various styles of earrings, other jewelry and handbags.
    TIA.

    1. Louise, I understand what you are saying about shopping in my closet. BUT, the problem is that everyone wants to be able to buy what I style. It is frustrating when someone shows something, and then says, “sorry, it is not available for purchase.” So, I try to show items that are available, and then YOU can shop your closet for something similar if you are not interested in purchasing.

  18. What a fun photo shoot with your adorable grandchildren. Even though I don’t have grandchildren it is fun to see children’s fashion. Loved it!

    1. Emersyn loves posing and having her photo taken, but little man would rather be left alone. Lol!

  19. Your grandchildren are adorable. Thanks for sharing them with us. And I loved the bright tennies too. Adorable.

    Have a great week.

    1. She loved those shoes. Lol! But, they were hot compared to her Native’s that she usually wears.
