WHAT IS A FRAZZLE AND WHY IS IT WORN OUT
A saying I use all the time is, “I am worn to a frazzle.” I have really been saying that this week. I am still recovering from having company for several days, a fashion show on Saturday, and party Saturday night. And now I am preparing to leave very early Wednesday morning and not return home till late Sunday night.
Dragging my tail, or worn to a frazzle, you take your pick. Either way, it means I am TIRED!!! After working all day long, coming home and cooking supper, babysitting with Emersyn for an hour, ironing Joe some clothes to wear to a funeral while I am gone, writing this blog, I still have to pack. Yep, I haven’t packed yet. So this post may be short and sweet.
This is what I wore to the Vintage Fashion Show on Saturday. I thought the pants gave that throwback look of the 70’s. They are quite colorful, and not for the faint of heart. I bought these last year when I went to a woman’s club convention. They are by Cha Cha Vente and I bought them at Stein Mart.
Palazzo Pants: Guess | Bisou Bisou | Nicole Miller | Plus
The jewelry is vintage that I have picked up for the past several years. These are plastics which were big in the 60’s and 70’s. I like plastic necklaces because they do not make my neck hurt.
The bracelet is made of bright green lucite squares and lucite blue disc’s. They just match this outfit, you would think I had bought them together. When you have as much of the vintage stuff as I have, you can almost always find something to match.
The cobalt cardigan is by Joan Rivers. I like the longer length of the cardigan. Anything that hides my tush is my friend.
Cardigan: Melissa McCarthy |Liz ClaiborneHere is a look from the side.
I chose to wear a bright blue camisole that was the same color as the cardigan. I like this look, and I really like to wear this same look using white. That is probably a look that I might wear later this week, or next. This camisole is from Maurices.
I wore my Tommy Hilfiger sandals because I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. Normally I would probably wear heels, but sometimes you just have to go with comfort.
Just in case you were wondering, a frazzle means to wear to threads or shreds. That would be me. I am off to pack, and then I will have a 7 hour drive in front of me tomorrow.
Be sure to let me know what you think about my colorful look. I will look forward to reading your comments when I get to Williamsburg, VA. The GFWC Virginia Woman’s Club Convention is calling my name, it is time for me to go. See you later.

Love the mix of greens and blues in this colorful outfit! I never get rid of my jewelry and still have many vintage lucite pieces from the 60s and 70s that I wear.
Love your posts. The blue cardigan and tank really match those print pants. This is truly a wonderful outfit.
just wondering about your comment that plastic doesn’t make your neck hurt. Since we make jewelry why does metal jewelry hurt your neck? just wondering.
It is not that metal makes my neck hurt, it is that plastic is light. I wear lots of jewelry and prefer something that is not real heavy. However, if I like it enough, I will still wear it even if it is heavy. I bought a necklace this weekend that was huge stones, and it is heavy. I will probably only wear it when I am going out to dinner, etc.
Beautiful blue color on you and i love the bracelet! Hope you get some time to relax soon!

LOVE the bright colors of this outfit! Safe travels and enjoy your conference.
Thanks Brandye:)
Love the bright colorful palazzo pants, they would be so bright and cheery when it is gray and gloomy outside. You can wear it with the blue to punch it up or white to tone it down. Sometimes we just have to go bold.
I love your style! So glad to see something from Steinmart….it’s my favorite store!
I love Stein Mart, but there is not one near me. I think the nearest one is 2 hours away:(
The pants are a great look on you. Sometimes a large print can overwhelm but you have shown us how to go big but look good!
Love these colors together! Beautiful!
Tania, you look fabulous as always! Love the blue top and cardigan and the lucite bracelet. My eye went straight to it! I’m amazed at how you have separate pieces that perfectly match each other and weren’t a set to begin with. I would also like to know how you store and /or display your jewelry so you can see what you have. Drive safely and have a wonderful time!!!
Head to toe, I love EVERYTHING about this ensemble. Great look!
This outfit is adorable – looks so fresh and young – love it!!!
Have a fab time away.

I love these two colors together! One of my favorite combos. I even use it in my outdoor decor. 🙂
Okay, so many of us want to see your jewelry storage system! You look great in this outfit. While the pants wouldn’t work on my plus-size body, I love the color combo. Definitely need to put these colors together!

You rock color! Love!!
Lovely outfit and the blue is wonderful on you. That color combination was just what I needed to see this morning That Joan Rivers cardigan is calling my name and I’m going to try and find a similar one. Her fashions fit my 5’2″ frame well.
Take care of yourself and try not to be too frazzled. I hope you get some ‘me’ time to relax.
Too cute!

Fun and flashy outfit, I’d wear it!
Super outfit! Beautiful blue. I agree with the others, how do you store your jewels? Have a safe trip and have fun.
I love the outfit too! Yes, please show us how to store your jewelry. I continue to enjoy your posts everyday and I get inspired to put a little more effort into my outfit! Thanks for a great blog!
You look great! Safe trip.
Absolutely beautiful outfit. Fun and classy at the same time. Blue is fabulous on you. Safe travels?and enjoy your convention.
Love the look and you wear it very well. Lovely! I’m also interested in how you store your jewelry so you can see what you want to wear. I have so much that I’ve collected over the years – always loved jewelry! – but so much is buried in boxes and other storage containers I either can’t find or forget I have it. I end up wearing the same 10 or 15 pieces all the time and all those pretty things just lay there, never seeing the light of day. I hope my granddaughters will take an interest when they are old enough – I would love that and would love to pass it on to them when I’m too old to care, or…
Really enjoy your posts – you are so funny and down to earth. I appreciate that!
I love this look! It looks great on you!
I have the same problem so I would be interested as well
I love the cardigan and camisole. I would also like to see how you organize your clothes and jewelry.
There are days that you give me incentive on what to wear. Someday I want to see how you store all your jewelry for easy viewing/retrieval.
Love this outfit …you look stunning in it ..Really love bright colours .
You look fab! Wonderfull colors. Have a great time in Williamsburg.

That outfit is fabulous! I adore vintage plastic jewelry and have a collection myself. It is so fun. Some of my favs are the thermoset pieces from the 50s. And the pieces you paired with the outfit are perfecto!
