50 Is Not Old | War RoomThis Sunday, my Sunday school class will be starting a new series based on the movie, The War Room. I am really looking forward to this series. I just finished watching the movie, and it was great! If you have not already watched the movie, I highly recommend that you do. I rented mine on television, On Demand, but I am sure there are other places that you can watch the movie.

It is a movie about a family that gets so caught up in the everyday struggles of life, that they let the devil creep in, and create havoc. It teaches us that we should submit to God, pray for all things, and then get out of His way. He is in command!

I hate flying. I get nervous, and worry for days before a flight. It robs me of the joy of the trip. One day my sister and I were talking about this, and she said “Why are you worrying, it is not like you are in control.” It was like a light bulb went off. I was not flying the plane, and “I” had no control of anything. For the first time, I actually enjoyed (mostly tolerated) the flight. I sat by the window, and looked at all the beauty of the mountains and land we were flying over. I knew that God was in control.

The hardest prayer I ever pray is, “Thy will be done.” Why I ever think I can help, or guide, God is beyond me. So, with that said, I look forward to learning how to have a deeper and richer private prayer life.

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.

  4. Love that movie! We have done a few Priscilla Shirer’s studies at my church. She and Beth Moore are my favorites! Beth, now that gal has got a signature style! Being Godly does not mean you have to be frumpy!! Thankyou for driving this point home today! You look awesome as usual!! Be Blessed!

    1. There is a Beth Moore video that I watched once, and it has stayed with me. I want to try to find it again, and share it with you gurls. It is so awesome.

  5. Tania, you look beautiful in your outfit and I appreciate so much the message of your post. I can identify with your fear of flying. The same thing happens to me. I worry for days before the flight. You’re right about remembering that God is in control. I’ll think of that the next time I have to fly. Have a great day!

Love the outfit and love Jonathan Butler! Just saw him on the Dave Koz cruise! Fantastic!

  8. Saw the movie also and it was very moving. It is often diffucult to wait and let God work. There is comfort in knowing God is in control. Sounds like your Sunday school class is going to be good. Your outfit is adorable and fiesty with the zig zag skirt. Red, white and black is so classy and you’ve added some zip to it. Have a blessed day and thanks for the song.

    1. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about that song. Hahaha
