50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLE Don’t you just love the summer months? The days are so long, and there is so many activities that you can enjoy. It doesn’t start getting dark here until around 9:00 in the evening. That leaves lots of time for going and doing. 50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLESome of you like to garden, either vegetables or flowers. I used to spend hours and hours working in my flowers, but the flowers are all gone now and so is all that work. I’ve had 4 pots of flowers sitting on my back porch now for three weeks, and I still haven’t planted them into their container. They just don’t seem to be on my priority list.

50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLEToday’s priority was something I hadn’t done in probably two years. We went motorcycle riding! I like to ride the motorcycle, I just don’t like to ride on the Interstate or go really fast. I prefer just puttering around, and driving on the winding, shaded roads. When you are going slow, you can actually still talk to each other, and you have time to enjoy the scenery. 50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLEMy t-shirt was purchased when we went to Daytona Bike Week back in February of 2014. We went to the Boot Hill Saloon, which was just a huge place on the side of the road where bikers congregate and they sell all kinds of items. I am not even sure there IS a saloon, but there was a concert going on. So, we hung around to see who was playing, and one of our favorites from the past was there. David Allen Coe! He has gotten older, even though Joe and I have stayed the same ages. Hahaha

Biker T-Shirt: Tank | Baseball Style Tee | Smoking Gun | Plus50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLEI have on a couple of necklaces that are shorter, I didn’t want to wear a long one over the graphic on the shirt. The shortest one is the Bless Your Heart Plunder necklace. That is not it’s real name, that is what it says on the plaque. Here is where I wrote about the saying of Bless Your Heart. The other necklace is one that I bought at a craft fair. It says Hide Your Crazy and Act Like A Lady. I thought both necklaces were appropriate for motorcycle riding. Lol! If you purchase any of the Plunder jewelry, just type my stylist number in the box when you go to checkout (241007). I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout. If you would like to have an online or FaceBook party, contact me and I will help you set everything up.50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLEMy jeans are by Vigoss, and I am sure I purchased them from Maurices. I will wait till they have a sale going, and then buy a couple pair. I don’t wear jeans a lot during the summer; I usually have on shorts or capris. But after looking at these pictures, I think I might wear them more often. I think they look cute and relaxed. I would like to be both of those adjectives.

Vigoss Jeans: Similar | Similar | Similar50 IS NOT OLD | WEAR ON A MOTORCYCLEWhen we were in Daytona, I was surprised at how many of the bikers had on converse sneakers to ride their bikes. Normally you ride with big boots on, but the younger generation were all in converse sneakers. When I was riding today I had on boots. I don’t really like my motorcycle boots, they are a little too big and they have a square toe. Yuck! So I immediately put my Converse sneakers on as soon as the boots came off. WAY cuter! Here is a post where I wore these sneakers before. And here is where I wore them with a dress, but I don’t think many of you liked them that way. I think I like them better today. What do you think?

I’d really like to order the Bless your heart necklace but couldn’t find where to put the stylist so you can get credit. Can you help me please????

    1. Yes, I can help. If you go to your URL, and type in http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens it should take you straight to shopping with Tania Stephens. If it doesn’t, when you go to checkout, one of the first questions it will ask is, do you have a stylist. It is a little box, and you have to put my number in there. If you checkout, and are not sure that I got the credit, you can let me know you placed an order, and I can call them. I had to call today for the same reason. I told them that they needed to make their website a little more user friendly. They said they were already working on the problem. I assume I am not the only one who is having to call them. I hope you like the necklace. Thanks for following along.

Love your sense of style (and adventure)! You look great! I’m always afraid of dressing too young so I end up looking blah and frumpy. ? Doesn’t help that I tend to shop with my 15 year old. Nothing makes me revert back to my same boring style faster than an eye roll whenever I try to expand my wardrobe.

    1. Just ignore the 15 year old. At that age, they will roll their eyes at EVERYTHING!!!?

  5. What – not photo of you on a motorcycle?
    Now that would be cool

  6. I have several friends I will order the “Bless Your Heart” necklace for.
    So sweet
Love your style it inspires me to stay looking young!!

  7. Here’s an easy cock pot recipe for when you’re out and about, riding your bikes, golfing or even working. Boneless skinless chicken breasts/thighs – any combination. Chopped peppers, onion wedges and canned diced tomatoes. Season it with Italian seasonings, garlic — or Greek seasonings — or even go Mexican and use salsa instead of tomatoes. Cook on low all day and it’s ready when you get home. — top with a little grated cheese and add a salad and garlic bread, if you’re going Italian. Top with a little feta cheese and serve over rice if you’re going Greek. Shred the chicken and put in soft taco shells and top with Mexican blend cheese if you’re going Mexican.

Love this look !! How do you take your pics ? Or does someone help you ? Also what distance are you from the camera ? I love photography and would be interested in theses things 🙂

    1. Sara, I take the pictures myself with a tripod. I set the camera timer to take 5 pictures at a time, and I am probably about 5 or 6 feet away. Thanks for following.

Pretty much what I look like on the Harley? I have traveled with my husband all over the country though and wear Doc Marten black lace ups for traveling. I also recently bought a pair of brown side zip and lace UGG tennis shoes for riding.
Boot Hill is a teeny, tiny little bar?

    1. I need to look for some cuter boots. Mine are not cute at all. I agree, Boot Hill is tiny, I almost even missed it.?

  10. monica dunton says:

Wow Love those jeans on you…. I just started shopping Maurices this year and now I’ve got to try their jeans. They do look great on you. very slimming!!!! cute outfit post.

  11. Glenda Braun says:

You look so good and love the post. I think where you live is an ideal place to ride. We live in a highly conjestive area (pinellas county fl). Need country haha

  12. Very cute. Like you, I hate the highway and going fast. I much prefer to ride the back roads at a leisurely pace.

  13. Cheryl Records says:

How cute! Love this outfit and the converse are perfect!

  14. My husband is pestering me for a motorcycle. LOL! After we get a few more things crossed off our list that will be his surprise. I love to ride. We’ve rented scooters when we go on cruises to see the islands. My birthday wish for my 60th (3.5 years to go) is to take a 2 week bike ride across the country -no real agenda, just get on the bike and ride and stop when and where we get to wherever it is. Love your look today. You’ve convinced me to get a pair of Converse. I wear a size 12 shoe, so I’m a little worried they’ll look like skiffs on me. Oh well! Have a grace filled day!

    1. 2 weeks would be a wonderful trip. But, you better get your bummy ready for sitting that long.???

  15. What a hoot! You come up with the most original posts! I usually wear Harley Davidson Gear when I ride and you are right, boots are a must. Those ankle burns on exhaust pipes are not good and the tennis shoes will not protect your feet on a rolling stop or accident. One other thing you need is cute sunglasses…for the sun and bugs.

    1. You are right about the glasses. We keep two sets with us, one pair of nice sunglasses, and one set that is clear incase it gets dark before we get home. Our motorcycle has a windshield, so the bugs are not too bad.

  16. So cute. Love the whole outfit.

  17. Love this look! I’m impressed you still ride! And yes, The Boot Hill Saloon is a real Biker Bar there! We were there during Bike Week many, many years ago! I was a little scared of it actually! LOL! Our motorcycle has since gone bye-bye. Like you, we really enjoyed riding the back country roads. My favorite part was the smells! From the damp earthy smell going through woods, to the smell of what someone was grilling as you went by their home. As our daughters got older, we rarely went out, as we needed a babysitter! And now as grandparents, I guess we just lost that yearning, so good for you that you still ride!

    1. You look so tiny! Those jeans definitely flatter your shape. Have you done any posts about jeans and how to get the fit and look that is flattering and age appropriate?

      1. WOW! Thanks Susan for THAT comment. I am anything but tiny. Haha I have not done a post of jeans, that is one I really need to do. The next time I go shopping, I will try on several different types of jeans and do a post on what to look for. Thanks for following, and the idea.?

    2. Joe has ridden for over 40 years, but I have only ridden occasionally over the past 15 years or so. You are right about the smells, we just commented last night that someone was grilling out as we went by.

  18. Super cute! I cannot get the half tuck on my shirt right. Can you share how? Thanks.

    1. The way I do my tuck is from the two belt loops. Start the small tuck at the first loop on one side of your zipper (or where it would be) and end at the other loop. Then it is a matter of how much material to tuck, versus how much you let drape. I hope this helps.

      1. Sounds easier than what I’ve been doing. Thanks.

  19. Don’t you look cute, got that “young” chick” look going on! Like it! I’ve never been on a motorcycle. My dad and my son both had friends who were injured in accidents, which instilled a fear in me. I know plenty of people who have a blast enjoying the scenery in the open air. Just be safe.??

    1. Doreen, you have to be really careful when you are on the motorcycle. People will follow you way too close, and they don’t see you a lot of times when they are pulling out onto the highway. We have had several friends to be hurt, and I can think of two friends that were killed.?

  20. I love your blog. I am following you from South Africa. Although I can’t buy the same clothes, I have learnt so much from you like how to wear jewellery, scarves & how to use pops of colour. Thanks for my daily dose of fashion inspiration.

    1. I don’t think it matters about the brand of the clothing Heather. It is meant to be more of an inspiration of what you can do with your own clothing. I am having to look at my own closet differently, since I don’t want to wear the same things over and over, in the exact same way. Thanks so much for following, all the way in South Africa.

  21. What a fun outfit! I like the top stitching on the jeans and your leather bracelets complete the look! I’ve never been on a motorcycle, they say it’s never too late but at 54 I’d better not leave it too long ?

    1. I really enjoy the ride from the perspective of a motorcycle. You miss so much in a car. I know plenty of people who are still riding way up in their 70’s. You’ve still got time.?
