WOMEN’S SUMMER SNEAKER TRY ON SESSION

When it comes to spring and summer, I believe that a white sneaker is a must-have item. A white sneaker looks great with dresses, jeans, shorts, or skirts, and they are very much a trending item. There are a few trends; you’ll see those later in the post when it comes to sneakers. Keep your mind open as I show you 10 pairs of sneakers that will keep you looking modern and youthful this season.

You can tell that I’ve been wearing this pair by the dirty soles. Lol! I didn’t think that it was possible to look ultra-feminine and wear sneakers simultaneously, but I was wrong!

These adorable leather sneakers by Kate Spade are cute as can be with their ruffles. I am a huge fan of not laces, so the pull-on style of these sneakers is a huge plus in my book.

I am wearing my usual size 9, and even though they are just a tiny bit big, adding socks would make them perfect. These are a keeper for me.

The white version of these sneakers is almost sold out, but they also come in a beautiful pink color, which would be great for spring and summer. Plus, the pink color will make the sneakers even more feminine!

These Nike Air Force 1 Pixel SE sneakers are supposed to be one of the “it” sneakers to have this year. I was shocked that I could get them in my size since they are in high demand.

You would think that the leopard print swoosh on these shoes would be enough for me to keep these, but sadly, it isn’t. They have the trending platform type sole, but they aren’t comfortable enough for me.

They feel cumbersome and a little heavy, so these are going back. Maybe it is because they are a bit big on me, but they just don’t cut the mustard in my book.

However, they are super cute, so if they are your cup of tea, I would suggest going down a 1/2 size.

These platform shoes will probably be staying! Out of all of the sneakers that I tried on, this was the most comfortable of all of them.

I can’t say that I am surprised since these are by Dr. Scholl’s, and that usually means comfortable to me. After the Nike 1 pair, I thought that all platform sneakers were going to be bulky and heavy, but this pair is different.

I love the metallic raffia-looking trim on the shoe, but it is the shoe’s interior that sold me. They have a cushioned insole that wraps around your foot, and it is sooooo comfortable!

My regular size 9 fits perfectly in these, so I would say they run TTS. I ordered mine from Nordstrom, but they only have a size 11 left. I found them at Zappos, which also offers free shipping, and they give you a full 365 days to return your shoes. WOW! I think that I’ll be checking out Zappos more often!

This pair of Steve Madden sneakers may have some of you scratching your head. Yes, that is fur that you see stick out of these sneakers.

I have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. I love the working zippers, which make slipping these on and off super easy. Plus, I only have to tie the laces once and then use the zipper from then on.

However, I am a little leery about the faux-fur lining. Will my feet sweat? Maybe it is like a dog’s fur; it keeps them warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Shockingly, these are sold out everywhere, so people must love them. I do think they are super cute, but I think that I’ll send them back. However, if you do find them online somewhere, they do run TTS.

Here are some other fur-lined sneakers. I didn’t link the Gucci or Valentino ones, but if you want to spend a thousand dollars on sneakers, you can give those a try. Lol!

I took photos with this pair the other day, and I love the looks of this pair. They are a simple white pair of sneakers, and there are times when I don’t want a lot of bells and whistles.

“Supposedly,” these are one of Meghan Markle’s favorites, and I have no idea if that was true or not. I figured that she could buy any pair of sneakers that she wanted, so if it was true, then I wanted to try them.

These shoes are one of my favorites, and these would have been a keeper for me. EXCEPT, they are too big for me. I ordered my usual size (9 or a 40 in UK sizes) in these, but I needed at least a half size smaller.

I am going to order these in size 39.5 and see if they fit. These are one of the best-priced sneakers also, so give them a chance.

Here is another pair of platform sneakers. This is a pair of Vans Old Skool sneakers, and I took the other reviewer’s advice and sized down.

The 8.5 fits me fine, and I can’t put my finger on what it is that I don’t love, but I don’t love them. They are basic white sneakers, but so is the Superga, and I like those.

They have a platform sole, but so does Dr. Scholls, and I like those. I would say that it is because they lace up, but the Superga pair also do.

Even though I can’t tell you why this pair is going back, I don’t love them, so I won’t wear them. But, like the Superga pair, these are a good price.

I’ve taken photos with this pair also. The Vintage Havana sneaker is very similar to Golden Goose sneakers but at a fraction of the cost.

I love the fact that these sneakers don’t have to be tied and that you can pull them on instead. And, I like the bright green since that is an unexpected pop of color.

I ordered my usual size 9, but they are too tight, and they hurt my little piggy. The seam that runs down the shoe side is too tight for me, so I would need to go up at least one size.

I fooled around and didn’t get these sent back in time for a return. I am so used to most retailers that I order from having a 60 to 90-day return window, but this retailer only had a 30-day window. The good news is that my mom or sister will probably be able to wear these, so they will be happy. Lol!

UGG! Do I really need to say anything else? Okay, I’ll say something else…slip-on. There, I’m done now!

Yes, these do remind me a little bit of grandpa shoes, lol, but I don’t care. I absolutely love this pair, and I am keeping them!

I love the neutral vibe of these sneakers with the darker stripes. They are very comfortable, and the slip-on feature is a huge plus!

I knew that I would keep these UGG shoes, so I ordered two pairs in two different sizes to make sure that I got the correct fit. I think that I will keep the 8.5, although the 9’s would work with socks. The sneakers are also available in several other colors if you don’t want a pair this light.

Of all the shoes that I ordered, this is the pair that I wanted the most. I love the large V on the side, and I love the color combination of the V and the red back.

However, this pair is going back! They are not comfortable at all, and the tongue is stiff and very long. It cuts into my leg when I put these on, not the effect that I was looking for.

Plus, they have to be laced up, and I was worn out after lacing up the first pair. I had already decided that these were going back, so I didn’t bother to lace up the second shoe.

If you want to try this pair for yourself, I would suggest sizing down. I ordered my regular size 9, and they are way too big for me. Plus, this pair is probably the most expensive pair that I ordered. For once I didn’t like the most expensive item that I ordered!!!

The last pair that I am wearing is by Vionic. This pair is a soft dove gray instead of white, but I thought that they were still a nice pair for summer.

I love the orange accents, and the bottom of the sneakers is orange also. Plus, they also come with an extra set of laces, and those are bright orange. This University of Tennessee loving girl would have loved to have kept this pair, but they were waaaay too big for me. I suggest sizing down in this pair.

Plus, even though most people love Vionic shoes because of the great arch support, I am not a fan. Maybe if I wore them, I would grow to love them, but we will probably never know.

Kate Spade Ruffled // Nike Air Force 1 Pixel SE sneakers // These Dr. Scholls platform shoes // Superga basic white sneakers // Vans Old Skool sneakers // Vintage Havana sneaker // these UGG shoes // Veja leather sneakers // Vionic gray and orange sneakers
Here is a recap of all of the shoes. I can’t wait to hear which shoes you liked the best.

They were all cute but the Vejas are my favorite. Lol, that may be because I have a pair already in another style and I love them. They’re actually one of the more comfortable pairs of sneakers I own. The pair you tried are actually on the list of what I want to buy this summer but maybe I’ll pass on them now. Thanks for the honest review.
Love the shoe post. I wear tennis shoes or slip on shoes most of the time. I must add arch supports to most, but I love the style, comfort and ease of Keds. Plus they are easy on the pocket book! Thanks for giving us some new options!
Sneakers galore, oh my! I’m also not a fan of laces that need to be tied each time so my faves are the Kate Spade with ruffles and the Ugg. I have worn Ugg boots for years and they’re the comfiest thing ever, so I imagine the sneakers would also feel like wearing slippers.
Can you show us the outfits you would wear with your favorite picks?
The UGG shoes are my favorite. I am a huge fan of wearing sneakers so thanks for doing this try on session.
It’s funny to me that you didn’t try the all American shoe brand that has been around for years…Keds. They have so many styles, colors, and patterns to choose from….including white. They are my go to sneakers because the price can’t be beat. The shoes you showed are nice, and the Vintage Havana would definitely be a good dupe for Golden Goose. (I have read reviews that you have to wear those around the house for a week or so to break them in…give it a try before gifting them). Sneakers are all I wear day in and day out so I enjoyed hearing your opinions.
Michele, I actually bought the Keds and loved them. I kept them for this post, but, I can’t find them. I have the box but the shoes are missing. Lol! I need to search under my bed or in my car. Lol!!!
Oh my I needed this post so bad earlier in the season. I wanted one or two pair of cute but comfy tennis/athletic shoes for spring and summer since they are trending to wear with pretty much everything. I have ordered and returned way too many since I absolutely must have a super comfy shoe. One company made the return so difficult I ended up giving that shoe to my DIL. She was happy!!! I think I’m going to order the Dr Scholl shoe. I just can’t decide which color now. Very helpful post. Thanks.
Thanks for helping me shop this year! Due to arthritis in my feet I need to order all new shoes a half size larger!
I only wear Nikes due to a foot problem. We don’t have all these makes in the UK.
I have never had an all white pair of trainers, something to consider.
I personally can not stand Van’s. They have never been comfortable for me. But, OH MY…those Kate Spade with the ruffles…as long as they are comfy are torally up my alley. They actually seem to be so versatile in a way the others don’t.
I do love Dr. Scholls just not their sneakers. I am so in love with their exercise sandals….the ones with the wood bottom a hump under your toes. Do you happen to remember them?
I also like my white sneaks to be just white without any color so that they will match everything. If I get something with a color then I feel obligated to match that color. Yes, I know, I’m that matchy matchy kind of person. LOL
